in the BIOS, all I can see are the following:
- Windows Boot Manager
- UEFI: Built-in EFI…
- UEFI: SanDisk, Partition 1 (The eMMC)
You’re sure that “3” is the eMMC? I’ve never seen this listed as “Sandisk”, not on V5 or on V6, although I also have the SanDisk eMMC….Only USB-Sticks are listed by their vendor names (if properly implemented).
Where is Windows Currently installed? If you’re still on the stock configuration, Windows Boot Manager is on the eMMC, so Option “1” boots from eMMC.

February 21, 2018 at 9:27 am #79635So you tried it in Manjaro?
Or did you switch to __buntu?Currently I’m waiting for a 256 SSD, then I want to give Arch a try – hope it works there as well…

February 16, 2018 at 4:19 pm #79540Interesting question Henk, my v5 BIOS also keeps forgetting the “SSD” from time to time, and I also have another v6 Ezbook here, which I did not unlock yet…

February 14, 2018 at 9:52 pm #79484On Xubuntu 16.04, argyll can handle the icm and the icc file.
I downloaded X-Ray’s file, renamed one copy to jumper.icc and another copy to jumper.icm and loaded the file with “dispwin jumper.icm” or “dispwin jumper.icc”

Some profiling software will make profiles with an .icm file extension. Should this be the case and the profile not be recognized by an application, simply changing the file extension to .icc can often solve the problem.
Will try that myself when I’m back home!
Thanks for this thread and the provided profiles!
(Maybe I’ll get that old Spyder 2 out of its cardboard box some day and check what it can get out of the screen.)https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernst_Kuzorra
February 14, 2018 at 12:32 pm #79457Maybe you need an icc profile for Argyll?
Note that by default it is assumed that ICC profile have the file extension .icm, but that on Apple OS X and Unix/Linux platforms, the .icc extension is expected and should be used.

February 14, 2018 at 12:24 pm #79456I can’t give you a good recommendation, since I find the BIOS to be really annoying, at least with my Hynix SSD. Others are reporting issues as well, but it might depend on your SSD/BIOS combination.
Perhaps i can even change the bios speeds after unlock…
Greetings Tom
I don’t know what “BIOS speeds” you want to change (eMMC?), but in my v5 Ezbook it was already set to the highest possible value after I unlocked the BIOS, so I wouldn’t expect that you can increase speeds beyond that.

February 14, 2018 at 12:21 pm #79455You should be back to default BISO settings if you open your EzBook case, disconnect the battery, wait for ten seconds or so, plug the battery back in, close the case. Did the same thing after messing around with the BIOS (which is really picky), takes < 2 minutes

February 13, 2018 at 10:21 am #79388Hey there,
maybe interesting for some of you as well: I finally found a picture of an open 3L, see below.
Space for an SSD seems limited, I doubt that an 2280 will fit in there.
The guy who posted this said it comes with IPS….no guarantees whatsoever

February 13, 2018 at 10:10 am #79387Thanks for the hint – the link was the problem.
In a public message to @thegiolly it was flagged as “an unappropriate word” that I used 😉

February 13, 2018 at 10:09 am #79386Hi Giovanni @thegiolly
For 196 Euros geekbuying currently has them on sale, even from European warehouses.
Seems to vary a lot from which warehouse you can get one, last night Germany was “in stock notice” only but you could order it from Italy and Spain, at the moment it seems to be the opposite.I’m not sure if I want to get one. If they are already in Europe, I guess chances are higher that it’s an older version (TN panel vs IPS?), but I don’t know. But I’m also reluctant to get one from China, because it’s still a lottery and honestly I don’t expect it to be that much better than the 3 Pro – especially the erratic BIOS.
…..another reason why I’m hestitant is that I just ordered a Teclast F7, also not really sure about it’s display properties 😉

February 12, 2018 at 8:18 pm #79368Hi there folks,
one question regarding the different BIOSes:Is there a notable difference in how they handle SSDs?
My v5 (manually unlocked) keeps forgetting the SSD from time to time, so boot order is reset – it troubles me almost on a daily basis.I also have another Ezbook 3 Pro here that just arrived – v6, still locked – which I bought for my aunt. If v6 is really much better (i.e. more stable with SSD), I could switch….but I don’t want to do it just to find out that it’s not doing better at all.
Any help appreciated!

February 12, 2018 at 8:11 pm #79363Still no boot issues with the SSD?
