All sorted. I used Alexander Woo’s EventGhost script (http://techtablets.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Event3.zip) to disable edge swipes, and the ahk exe below to disable pinchzoom.

put the ahk exe in the startup folder, install event ghost, import the xml file and set it to run on boot.

Cool, I’m having trouble making  a ahk script for pinchzoom but the eventghost script works perfectly for the edge gestures.

override it with empty return command.

How? It didn’t seem to work when I left it blank and I can’t find the relevent command in the documentation. I’m trying to disable pinchzoom, is this right?

Possibly but why not just get a proper OTG adapter, they ain’t exactly expensive.

In my research I kept finding people who couldn’t get gestures to work as they had generic drivers that didn’t do gestures. Could that be a solution for us? the problem is when I try and search for it I can only find post about getting gestures to work rather than disabling them…

So I’ve just tried it, the driver works fine and everything, but the regedit bit didn’t seem to do anything. I also set EdgeTouch and EdgeTouchSpeed to 0. Any other ideas?

As they Gearbest told you to do the BIOS update can you not hold them responsible?

It supposed to be Chuwis original, but its low mechanical quality makes me suspiciouse. The locking mechanism is really crap, you risk to drop your tablet or keyboard. And it is really heavy. NOT recommended.

Personally I find the quality fine for the price and it needs to be fairly heavy to counterbalance the weight of the tablet (although they could have chucked a li-po in though instead of just weights), my issue with it is the goddamn edge swipe gestures.

It seems we may have to just wait until Microsoft finish migrating everything into  “Settings”

Doesn’t this disable the trackpad entirely? I still want to use it, just without the edge swipes.

Is this why my windows keep minimizing when I move the cursor downwards using the touchpad?

    Yes.

flashing bioses from windows is extremely risky and will often result in bricks… it’s way better and safer to flash the bios from a dos like operating system…

So like the process I asked about?

Anyone? Is my previous comment the correct procedure?

Sorry for the double post, perhaps I’m being overly cautious, I just wanted to make sure due to the VERY limited support available.

    Thanks.
