Just a quick update after a few days with IGD turbo switched off: the tablet went more or less stable through 2 whole battery cycles. No shutdown. Neither on Windows nor on Android. So the IGD turbo solved my issue with sudden blackouts.
One thing I still need to verify is a short black screen followed by a message that the graphics driver in Win10 crashed. Looked similar to the blackout but without shutting down. Keep u posted.
October 30, 2015 at 9:19 am #14514Thought so also but after switching of turbo mode in BIOS (I think it was turbo mode for “IGD” or similar) the tablet is working now! Seems like a good workaround for me as I’m actually not gaming on this tablet. At least it’s better than sending the tablet back. Maybe Teclast will bring an update in the future to cover that topic finally.
October 29, 2015 at 10:46 pm #14494Wow – that was really a quick help from you guys. Took a while to get a keyboard working on my tablet but now it’s flashed with the new bios. Thanks for downloading and making it available in your forum.
My tablet is working and now I need to figure out if it keeps up longer than before – I let you know most probably tomorrow.Unfortunately the problem was not solved with the new BIOS. After 5 minutes surfing with Chrome the tablet went dark 🙁 Battery was at about 80%. Maybe I need to consider sending it back as the problem is on both Android and Windows.
October 29, 2015 at 9:10 am #14411Unfortunately I’m one of them with sudden blackout issues. As it arises every 30-60 minutes of work in my case, I really can’t recommend that model if you intend to work on battery!
October 29, 2015 at 8:55 am #14410Is there anyone still working on this topic?
I received a X98 Pro K9C6 recently from Gearbest and it shows those sudden blackouts. I’m not even able to work for one hour with the tablet as the screen very frequent goes suddenly black. At that point touch stops working for a few seconds, then screen is flickering and finally tablet dies. It does not really depend on the battery status as it happened already at 90% battery. After charging for 5 mins tablet was back on 90% and worked a few minutes until next crash. AND: I experience the same issue both in Windows and in Android!
Searching the internet I can also see that even the “old” Air 3G model seems to have the same problem. But I can’t find a real solution anywhere. I tried the various power settings mentioned in the forum here – none of them helped in my case!
So please if anyone here has really solved this problem please post a solution.
