@kean3D, there are some blind reset tutorial, which can reset the BIOS or you open your computer and unplug the battery. Also have you tried to connect an external monitor? Maybe you could upload the bios file you created, so someone can check.
Btw, it is normal that you get back to the locked bios from uefi if you got there from the locked bios. The bios will only be reloaded when you reboot, so the changes will first appear after you rebooted.
January 29, 2018 at 7:15 pm #77900i would also love the idea of table containing game benchmarks and good settings to run them smooth!
And yes, the rw everything settings are gone after reboot, that’s why Giovanni and i are trying make them taken from the bios.
January 29, 2018 at 9:43 am #77879To unlock the 15W limit use RW everything, go to ‘Memory Dump’ and set start address to 00000000FED170A0 the you should see the pattern 00 06 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 89 DD 00 00 8F 00 00 change the 89 to 8F for 15W and the last two zeros 00 in the line to 01 to lock the 15W (this number will disappear after a second). Done
This only works if you already unlocked the limit in the BIOS!
January 28, 2018 at 9:31 am #77847While trying we also had some bios which didn’t work, but it didn’t result in a brick instead the efi shell showed up.
January 25, 2018 at 4:16 pm #77663Hello, we managed to unlock my v6 and this procedure can be translated to the other versions as well. I can access all the cpu limits and change them, sadly I could not get the limit beyond 9W for a longer time then 20sec (which is stock). How does this behave von V4?With some tricks, it also possible to unlock full power 😉 but more later
January 23, 2018 at 10:46 pm #77568Giovanni and I found a way to unlock the bios. We will post more tomorrow 🙂
January 23, 2018 at 10:51 am #77547it doesn’t work anyway to just use amibcp to unlock the menus, so not worse a try, sry.
January 21, 2018 at 7:12 pm #77448It’s ‘safe’ but doesn’t work 🙁
January 20, 2018 at 3:18 pm #77365I was mistaken, took the wrong setup file. I might gone try to flash this tomorrow.
January 20, 2018 at 2:57 pm #77362But I checked the byte code and there are changes from the original to updated at the beginning
January 20, 2018 at 2:40 pm #77360I Saw that you changed the order around the suppress if command, but what did you change at the beginning of the setup.bin, checksum bytes?
January 20, 2018 at 11:34 am #77352@giovani I already edited the hex file changing the suppress region to false, but I seems to be not enough (see my posts)
The 0A is the suppress if enum
The 82 is begin of a region and says the Suppress if has two bytes
The 46 is the condition variable which is in your case true, which means suppress, 47 would be false so no suppress, but it don’t work for me
January 19, 2018 at 8:59 pm #77318With AMIAfu https://ami.com/en/products/bios-uefi-tools-and-utilities/bios-uefi-utilities/. I already tried to unlock features, but it not as simple as settings access rights to user.
January 19, 2018 at 8:24 pm #77280The System BIOS Version is 5.12 on my V6 too, so it seems not to say anything. But the BIOS Tag could be really interesting.
