Just received this powerbank from amazon dodocool USB C / Type C Power Delivery Power Bank 20100mAh Portable Charger External Battery Pack with 45W PD Dual USB Output. It was on sale for £22.99 so thought I’d purchase.

After trying more expensive powerbanks that wouldn’t charge the cube thinker, this one does and seems to be doing a great job – I’m currently at 80%, and it will take 30 mins to reach full capacity via the powerbank.

Edit: Will provide a better review once used for a while.

Edit: Excellent Powerbank, fully charges laptop in an 1hr30-2hrs. Highly recommend.

By the way, make sure this runs at startup.

You can simply save the file in the following folder

Click Start > Type in RUN > in the dialog box type in shell:startup

Then you can place the file there to run at start up  🙂

Edit: Ooooor…. you could just right click and select run at start up 🙂

Has anyone successfully used a powerbank for this, I purchased the Charmast 26000mah but doesn’t charge the laptop.

This is still an issue for me, although it’s not frequent, shame as it’s a perfect laptop bar this.

    Cheers Billy,
This definitely sorts out the blurring issue I was facing, especially when installing things.

Would also be interested in this information Billy…

Please provide links with details, and instructions if possible

As I know people aren’t so active on here so posting a link that could be dead, having details allows to search elsewhere

Unforunately, it’s back 🙁 – After almost a week with no issues, i restarted my laptop and started flashing – will apply the youtube vid and see if it clears again.

Edit: Disable the Intel Graphics services option. Seems to sort it.

That’s a good price, especially if you consider offloading your other laptop.

Yeah, flickering seems to be prevalent on some devices, but I think this is a software issue – I’ve posted a fix that worked for me, since applying I have not had any issues, so it is now running like a dream.

I have not made any modifications.

    Hey Peter,

Last month, I was in the same position as you. I bit the bullet, and I’m glad I did.
I personally think it is a fantastic laptop. I also had cold feet, especially with all the horror stories.

Keyboard for me is fine, I have no issues with it at all (I’ve never had a MacBook Pro, so I cannot compare).
Screen flickering – I did experience this, which was a bit annoying. However, after applying some changes, it hasn’t happened since.

To be honest, it seems like it’s a lottery, there’s a small probability that something could occur, but a greater probability that it will be fine. I’m really enjoying the laptop – The screen is fantastic, and I have a blank desktop and I use the app 9zen wallpaper which automatically changes the wallpaper.

I’m not a heavy laptop user, browse and I’m using it to study – however, today I achieved 4-5hours of battery life on 25% brightness, I’m guessing it depends on what you do.

In terms of temperature, I don’t find this an issue at all, it gets slightly hot at the bottom of the laptop, but nothing excessive.

Overall, I’d recommend this – particularly if you are able to obtain this at a good price 😉

Unsure if this is the reason, but since I’ve applied this – flickering has been non-existent (touches wood)…

    Hope it works for others.

EDIT: Still no issues for me – so seems to have fixed it.

I’m on the latest pre-release build of Windows 10 and the latest Intel Driver. Flickering continues only when resume from sleep occurs. Putting back to sleep and on again seems to resolve the issue (annoying but I’ve already got a refund from Gearbest). Should definitely be a software issue, although many Surface owners have similar issues and are not getting any support from Microsoft (has the same screen as the Thinker).

Full refund?! And is this by sending the item back? Or do you still have the item?

This flickering is becoming more apparent more I use, quite annoying. I think it is a software issue rather than hardware, but I’m unsure what changes i could make in order to eradicate this issue…

I think I have reverted back to previous display driver, and it still flickered (Currently using latest driver)

I experienced such flickering this morning, did this about 4-5 times which was abit worrying. But was fine and stable for the rest of use.

    Shall see how it goes

    Hey dude,

You could try Driver Booster. Have you considered a complete Windows 10 install also?
