I just noticed I never left an update on my RMA status. After 3 weeks of examining the issue they did shipped a new tablet to me. Delivery took about 1,5 months 🙁
To whoever has the same issue I suggest you to get in contact with the seller you got it from and arrange a replacement of your unit. It might cost much you to ship it back to China if you’re outside Asia, and will surely take few long months to get a working unit back, but according to my experience that’s the only option.

Glad that it worked for you. Unfortunately this was not working for me and as video output is very important for me, I bought a Cube Thinker with a proper Type-C implementation and I’m planning to sell my Mix Plus…

Hello. I just got my Cube Thinker 3 days ago, and although I don’t have any physical damage to any of the keys, the typing experience is not good at all.
Keys need to be pressed really hard to work, space is only working when pressed right in the middle and not on all of its surface, and I get a lot of double letters… Its disappointing given the fact that it’s an expensive laptop with so promising hardware…

Any idea on what I should do? When I’m at home I use it with an external monitor, mouse and keyboard, although when I’m mobile it’s really hard to type on it, because I need to come back and correct literally every 2 words… :/

And their after-sales support does not exist at all which is sad to say the least.

I wish I knew any solution. It’s a shame that it does not work, two main reason I got this tablet are Type-C charging and video out and none of that works unfortunately…

I am thinking that maybe it’s something in bios, maybe old version or something, but I can’t find the correct bios to flash (either stock from someone that have type c working, or even any updated version)…

@algorithm you mentioned 2 versions, BL & DL, can’t find out which one am I running. I attached the main page of my bios settings, if anyone can tell.

Thanks for the info, although it does not sound good for me… i have tried with both enabled and disabled options still nothing…
Can you please let me know what version of Bios are you running as well as operating system. (stock or you have changed it)?

Can someone with working type-c charging and video output upload all their bios settings & bios details (version)? I noticed in mine that there were some options for thunderbolt and for type-c but even after enabling them, I can’t get them to work.

So it seems like we are many with that issue. Its really weird. I really guess is it something software related or we all have faulty hardware? :/

Does anyone have any idea on how we can fix it? Its really a bummer to have a tablet capable of charging via usb c and have video output which we can’t use…

What is the temperature like on the back, does it get hot making it hard even to touch as some have mentioned with the full mod, or its manageable?
Also could you run aide64 and let us know the temperatures it reaches and if it throttles?

Have you tried that yet? I’m waiting my replacement cube mix plus (1st one’s motherboard fried after 2 hours of use and had to send it for RMA) and wanted to do the mod although I don’t want to do the complete mod just in case anything happens and I’m out of luck with warranty. So I was thinking the exact same thing as you did.

If you or anyone else actually tried it, please share the results here so me and other viewers decide if it’s worth adding just a thermal pad between the tablet’s back and the metal plate on top of the CPU.

Hello again. After so many days, my Cube Mix Plus was delivered to the Gearbest Warehouse in China. I am now waiting for them to examine it and provide me solutions to the issue.

(What is the status for your RMA @virgosun ?)

I think they will replace the screen and ship it back in your case. In mine they told that they will try to repair it and if that’s not possible they will ship a new one to me. Mine has not yet exited the country, I just sent it yesterday because they were some issues with my local post office. I hope I will be able to get it back working before summer…
