Have all of you actually updated Windows 10 to the newest version?
The last time I did that it messed up my whole Power Management. Someone said on page 2 of this thread, that the voyo a1 plus doesn´t cope well with the newest windows versions. That´s why I disabled updates, but having all updates disabled isn´t probably very safe in the long run.
2. question: How can I enable the screen keyboard? When I am in tablet mode and want to write something, it doesn´t show.
February 27, 2016 at 2:51 am #27213I deleted my entire hdd (android too, cause I don’t care about android and wanted the space back) and installed Windows home 64bit straight from Microsoft’s website with their usb-bootable media maker… Didn’t even need a license since Windows 10 activated online already so my hardware is registered with Microsoft I guess.
I then installed the wifi only and let Windows update find all the drivers it could. Anything it couldn’t find, I used the drivers from here.
Everything is perfect. I installed the new bios and it’s still perfect, if not better.
you might want to say what version of Windows you have and what you did to it to make it messed up, so that we can help.
February 28, 2016 at 4:39 pm #27411Everything was fine until I updated Windows to the newest version. Now no wifi networks are found anymore. I tried reinstalling the original wifi drivers twice, as has already worked before, but this time it didn’t help.
Please help!
March 1, 2016 at 4:42 pm #27677Hello and thanks, I have a Voyo A1 plus ultimate and now its working perfect with a fresh windows 10 home in spanish. I reinstalled windows and wifi drivers many many times. I have not been able to do it at the first, and I don’t know why wifi drivers are installed sometimes and sometimes not. This is very anoying. In this moment my little machine is very capable and I am very happy with it.
@Ahsron try to uninstall (with and without delete files) and very quickly execute install command twice. I am not sure, but last one I did this and it worked.
One question: I have a continuous ‘beep’ when bright is 25%, 50% and 75%. My bios version is the same as that of the web of voyo. Is it possible to fix this?
Regards and thanks again! 😉
March 1, 2016 at 6:48 pm #27684Have you messed with any settings in the bios? I know that I installed a legit version of Windows10 Home on my Voyo and only installed the Wifi drivers (yes a pain, but there are posts on here about it), and then let windows update find all the drivers it could online. THEN I only installed the things that were needed through the Device Manager (only a few “!” were left after Windows did its thing. I did not install the Voyo camera drivers because they aren’t signed and Windows throws a fit when trying to install. I wonder if they’re hacked or trojans or something. My Voyo works like a boss now. No beeps.
Maybe in the bios I think I saw something about screen brightness… Don’t remember. If in doubt, try to set bios to the optimal settings and reboot. Worked when I was having problems with the intel drivers…
March 2, 2016 at 8:59 am #27724ghostfreckle thanks. I have been able to install thanks to this thread. All drivers work perfectly except the beep. Starts beeping while booting, I think that when it loads the graphics driver, because after installing this driver began to beep. My BIOS has optimal values. I tried to change some, but I have not gotten good results. Could you tell me which version and which files you have in your graphics driver?
It would be great if I can eliminate that annoying beep.
Thank you again.

I think that I deactivated GOP driver.

I think that I deactivated GOP driver. OH not a good move, tried an HDMI cable? Otherwise you will have to change it back blind. Maybe from some images of the bios screens?

March 2, 2016 at 11:34 pm #27834I tried with a hdmi cable and nothing. I have a nice paperweight. thank you anyway. 😉
Anyone knows how to reset BIOS via hardware? Is there a jumper or similar?
March 3, 2016 at 12:54 am #27836These are my ideas…
- Make sure your laptop is plugged in. (I sometimes think mine won’t boot, but somehow left it on so it was dead)
- There’s got to be a way to tell if you’re in the bios… Can you go in a dark room and see if when you turn it on, the backlight for the screen turns on?
- If you take it apart you could maybe unplug the battery… Hold down power for like 30 seconds and then reconnect the battery? Might reset it. I opened mine and I didn’t see any bios battery… Just a bunch of screws and then the bottom needs to be gently pulled apart (lots of snaps)
- If you get into the “newest bios”
- Push down arrow (x5)
- enter
- right(x1)
- down (x2) this will select “video config”
- enter
- “GOP driver” will be selected.
- enter (to select)
- enter again (to enable)
- f10 (to save and exit)
- enter
- enter (the end. hopefully that helps)
OR
- an easier way is to just try an load defaults
- get in bios
- right (x5)
- down (x3) for optimal settings or down (x4) for “custom default”
- enter
- enter
- f10
- enter
- enter
I hope this is clearer than mud. Sorry but thats all I got!! Good luck!
March 3, 2016 at 1:14 pm #27875Thank you ghostfreckle, screen is always totally off, but is possible to hear a little electrical noise when I push power button, like if it were booting. I tried with your keys sequences but don’t work, perhaps it is not in the Bios. Is it possible to enter in the BIOS from cold start, like pressing F2, DEL or similar key? Can someone try to enter en BIOS from Poweroff and tell me how?
This is very frustrating. I know that this is my fault, but I think that it’s not so difficult to include a 30-60 seconds power button reset, three button or something like this, I think.
March 18, 2016 at 11:37 am #29913Hello, I own the ultimate version i installed a french windows 10 with all drivers successfully except for the accelerometer

March 20, 2016 at 1:53 pm #30132Hello,
first of all, i want to thanks the people of this site and especially “oli” because the solution for me, about the wifi problem, was to copy and paste the file 43430r0nvram.txt, as he said in page 7.
I am owner of an ultimate version tablet with 4G LTE connection. The only problem i have now, is with cellular data connection. It disconnects every 3-4 minutes and has low speed (3-5 Mbps). In the same position at home with 4G LTE android phone, the connection is stable and 5 times faster (over 40 Mbps).
I would appreciate if there is a solution for this frustrating problem. Anyone else facing the same with me?
PS: i will definitely recommend this site!
March 24, 2016 at 7:50 am #30688Cyberbad, the driver needed was located in the pack of drivers listed on page 1 or 2. It was listed in the ‘device manager’ program as an ‘unknown driver’.
