Ordered and waiting for my: BMAX S15 & Teclast F6 Plus
Currently testing: LG G8X & Redmi K30April 10, 2017 at 11:13 pm #65043I also had this inbound failure, but i think it was because for some reason my tablet and keyboard has divided into two parcels. One seems twonbe shipped by air and second one still in exchange office, but aliexpress tracking is not always that accurate. Aliexpress and sellers usually have good customer service as lomg as all goes well. When problems occur customer service tends to drop.
My tablet and keyboard/stylus has also been split into two packages and so far only the 2nd package (which contains the keyboard and stylus has arrived), the tablet is still in limbo or stuck on the inbound failure sadly…
The tracking nber has also yet to be updated 🙁
April 11, 2017 at 9:41 am #65056Yes, I too – but I paid approx. the standard discounted price which it has returned to ~£277.
To be fair, they offered that I could wait…. and wait …. and ….. I reckon I might have it by the end of April ?
They replied asking me to ignore their previous message & that it would ship in a few days. Hopefully soon. Can’t wait to get my hands on it ?
April 11, 2017 at 9:51 am #65057It’s a decent tablet, one of the best for now. Love the screen, so great to use. Just wish it was a little lighter, 1.1 kilos I don’t tend to use it for long as a tablet.

<p class=”box-info show-large show-xlarge”>Yodel – the delivery company state that “With sender -Your parcel will be with us soon – 05 April at 00:00″ Note the date that Yodel can put against it – a week ago and it still has not left GearBest! How much discount is necessary to attract customers to such awful service?

So it seems to be as I suspected: “GearBest claim to have ‘Shiped out’ [sic] my Hi13; but it does not yet state ‘Product dispatch’ – in my previous experience this does not mean shipped – it has meant in the past that it has been packed, addressed, and assigned to a carrier – but it is only in a consolidation (pallet?) of a consignment. My thought is that they wait until they have a full weight of items for a given country/carrier before they ship them (otherwise their shipping costs would not work – they send ridiculously cheap items individually from China – they have to consolidate or they would be bankrupt in a very short time!)”April 11, 2017 at 2:28 pm #65074<p class=”box-info show-large show-xlarge”>Yodel – the delivery company state that “With sender -Your parcel will be with us soon – 05 April at 00:00″ Note the date that Yodel can put against it – a week ago and it still has not left GearBest! I don’t think it’s rediculous. It’s very plausible. The profit margins on this kinda stuff is razor thin. They have to cut corners on things like QA, customer support, shipping, etc. Otherwise they could not compete. Be aware some chinese sites even take orders and don’t ship for like a month. What I think they are doing it JIT (just in time) manufacturing. They are using customer purchase funds to actually pay for production doing it in blocks… take a bunch of orders then build and ship. I have seen this with really cheap stuff, like less than $50 which also has free shipping. Sometimes it takes upwards of two months to get something (with some things and some sites – eg., Dealsmachine.com). If you expect it then it’s no big deal, otherwise it can be really irritating.

Brad: “If you expect it then it’s no big deal”
Yup, right attitude! Apart from the modern expectation of getting things immediately (anyone ever heard of delayed gratification?) there is the expectation in IT that technology is improving so fast that the purchase will be “old hat” and depreciated almost as soon as you receive it … well, we better get over it.

Usually GB post their delivery time and tracking number two days before the ‘real’ delivery.

@Bob: Do you mean Euros? if so that is the equivalent of £238 which is £40 less than the current UK price – and £40 less than the price I am paying!

Ah okay, that’s the Intel graphics power saving settings. The panel self-refresh to save power. Tweak or disable those settings then and it will stop that flicker.
Yes, the Intel dual-band wireless AC 3165 is a great little chipset. Very happy with it, day and night compared to the old Realtek wireless N in my Hi12. Max speeds on my Hi12 are like 45 Mbps on my 300 Mbps fibre line. But the Hi13 gets almost 295downloadsd around 280 upload. Very impressed with it. Good range too. Only top end AC cards get my full 300Mbps speeds and this is a cheaper one getting 95% of the throughput.
