There is a new update method BTW…
You must go to the device manager, then expand the firmware tree, and then double click on firmware system.
In the Driver tab we must click on update and search on internet and follow the instructions…
I never update a bios with this method before…

Doesn’t work, windows reports driver software is up to date. On Teclast BBS Chinese are saying the same thing and laughing at Teclast for screwing up again. Perhaps someone can find a link to download version 3.03 so it can be updated by the old bios updater although from my Google translation it seems that the new method includes a windows key (strange ?) I have the same thing, have tried bios updater again with latest downloaded bios file from Baidu and can’t get 3.03 dated 03/02/16 shown in the screenshot. Anyone got 3.03 that they can upload or give us the source link ?

I will hopefully get a x98 plus 3g in the next week sometime, and I’m in trouble deciding what to do with the storage – namely what can I do, if Win10 forcefully want to update, and there is no enough space (and it brick itself) and as I see, there is a lot of trouble with sd cards.. If I buy a 32 GB Kingstone, will that work for updates and others, what do you guys know? In fact I would be statisfied with just +32GB and being able updating, whatever it wants, and use it as it is. As I see, the BIOS update from April 11 is for just A5C8 – I don’t know, which type will be mine, I can’t find it anywhere on net (I ordered it from TinyDeal) – which didn’t help either. I don’t even know how to update BIOS or how to get in BIOS.. Could you write it to me, or send to a link, where it is explained to dummies like me, from the basics? 😛
Thank you!April 22, 2016 at 10:08 pm #34721Anonymous

Thank you! Post again when it arrives and you will be able to follow along with the help you get, or if you want to know now use the link to translated Teclast instructions courtesy of Yi-Ping Huang eight posts above. If you are lucky you may not even need an update. At this time no update seems to work anyway. One suggestion is do not connect to wifi until you have turned off Windows update and do not update if all is well with the SD.
April 22, 2016 at 10:37 pm #34724Thanks, and could you tell, how to turn off updates? Is it possible with win10? a link or relevant video maybe about this, or is it easier, than i think?
April 22, 2016 at 10:43 pm #34725When you start Windows first time, you can turn automatically Update off.
Otherwise go to settings, Update, and turn it offApril 22, 2016 at 10:44 pm #34726ok, thank you:)
April 25, 2016 at 7:24 am #34955I wouldn’t do that though, after the latest windows update my sd-card is working fine again! =)
