The Intel Android Drivers embedded in the archive are very old (v1.5, they shows as unsigned on Windows 7 x64), use the latest 1.10 instead: https://software.intel.com/android/articles/intel-usb-driver-for-android-devices
Thanks for the tip

Will u be sharing other tips that you’ve read on these Chinese forums? Would be great to be able to load any OS at a touch of a button so to speak
I “too” love the look of …0.2 ximer :p! and can’t wait to its gets more love for the Teclast X98 Pro
Will be adding in MirekV6 tonight so hopefully I don’t break the Win install..i can’t read Chinese but the translator does somewhat of an ok job..Ni Hao 🙂
April 14, 2016 at 4:08 pm #33524Out of interest I tried loading the official Teclast Android ROM and it was unusable, not even registering touches. Any clues on why this is happening only in Android? When it was a Windows 10 only tab it was okay.
April 14, 2016 at 4:57 pm #33527Today I have booted on Windows and it made the updates of this month, after a reboot ti finalize the updating, I have tried to reboot in Android (used the apps on Windows), but it was impossible ! Stuck on the red Chinese characters.
Tried cold boot, it was the same. Windows is OK.
I have “dirty flashed” the v6, and Android have came back to life.
Be careful, it’s either the updates or the program to reboot to Android that makes something that “kill” Android.
Except this, the V6 works fine (was on V3 previously).
April 14, 2016 at 6:57 pm #33546Hi Mirek!
Thanks for your great work and dedication. You gave a new life to my tablet!
However, i think Apex launcher is to choppy, could you replace the default launcher for the Nova launcher? It’s so much better. Please give it a try!
I didn’t forget your effort and have tipped you via paypal 😉

April 14, 2016 at 7:50 pm #33550Hi, I’m sorry but i am a newbie at modding. Is there a step by step howto?
To do the latest version of the mod it is suggested to do a clean install…should i first wipe out the android partition?
First thing to do is intall driver . Mooms suggested https://software.intel.com/android/articles/intel-usb-driver-for-android-devices
Are these drivers the best option?
Thanks and sorry if those questions sound silly to you most

As a last resort I’ve reflashed the mirek ROM over the top of the official ROM and now it seems to finally be responding to touch normally (knock on wood!)
I’d previously tried repartition reflashing, clean flashing and dirty flashing over the top with no success, but putting the (still unusable) Teclast ROM first and then the mirek ROM has apparently fixed the issue this time??
—
Edit: After installing a few apps, the whole android partition has ground to another laggy mess. I don’t know what’s causing this as I’m not installing anything out of the ordinary, the hardware buttons are responding instantly. It just seems like the touchscreen can’t keep up?? Antutu is benchmarking at 70k+
Windows partition has been reinstalled and is as smooth as butter, so I’m at a loss as to what is causing this issue?
—
Edit 2: This definitely seems to be related to the touch screen driver in Android somehow. I’ve plugged in a keyboard/mouse using the OTG and Android is smooth as butter. Perhaps it’s something with the K9C3 hardware??
—
Edit 3: This seems to be a known issue for the old X98 Air models due to some component issue and differences between Android 4.4/5.x according to TecKnight’s post here. Is there a chance there is a modified boot.img for the X98 Pros? http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/ttt-fix-x98-air-devices-touchscreen-functionality-in-android/
—
Edit 4: I’ve tried flashing the boot.img from the v5 ROM (same as v6), the original Teclast Android ROM (okay, but still laggy) and an X16 ROM based off of mirek’s v4 (Screen upside down, doesn’t respond to touch). There’s definitely something specifically wrong with the touch screen driver in Android as the tab’s touch response runs perfectly in Windows and the BIOS
