No copper mod on mine, not used clean master or other task manager/killer, just installed Antutu 6 after a fresh boot, and scored 81K

I have also removed Chrome and YouTube from system and installed Nova Launcher.

tomorrow  I release v2 rom

 

changes like

• removed chrome
• added stock browser from aosp rom – much lighter ( at the moment we have only 2 GB of ram available in android … )
• enabled zRam 600 MB – sappiness to 100 – I checked and ratio is usually between 30 – 60 % not bad )
• ksm – checking pages 500 – to save battery – increasing free ram
• adaway added and updated

At the moment multitasking is muuuch better but still if we had access to 4 GB of ram …

In the next version I want to configure scheduler and io as well

Hey mirek, been running your ROM. Works great. Thanks. I made all the adjustments in pimpmyrom. I took the out stock “heatsink” and took out a cooper heat pipe heat sink from an old laptop CPU cooler. Took a hammer to it to make it as thin as possible and removed the fins and the fan. Put some artic silver on it and the memory (put some little copper shims on them). Took out the copper lining glued to the back case of an old nexus 7 and stuck it to the back case of my x98. Took some electrical tape and protected all the little components near the copper heat pipe that is now running up past the power button.  Running “performance” in the power options in windows and scored a 870 on the same performance test as the dude on YouTube who did the cooling mod on his x98 pro and he scored a 760.  Ran antutu after setting the mode to performance in kernel auiditor. Scored 86000! And its not even getting hot at all!

Only reason I did this is because yesterday, I put the tab down, but left it on, and picked it back up from the back of it (metal side) after an hour  (it was face up on the carpet), and it a just about burned the palm of my hand it was so freaking hot! Here’s a screen shot of antutu. Ess system manager says i have 3gb ram, not 4, but oh well.

I can’t wait for your next rom mirek, you rock dude. I put you rom on the first day i got this and it was so easy. Then i put the latest insider build of windows 10 x64 and wiped whatever was on it before.  I have chrome, chrome beta, and chrome dev installed and just about every google app made.  I just kill them from starting up with android with the ess task manager. Anyway, later peeps.

Update, updated to the latest Mirek.  I’m up to 86.6 on antutu, not too bad.  Heat issues are gone and battery life is better.  Doesn’t beat my Dell Venue 11, I got off ebay for $225, core i5, 4gb ram, 128 ssd.  I put android x86 6.0.1 and get 220000 on antutu.  That’s running the latest 12/26 iso natively.

Update my Dell Venue 11 to k3 kernel of android x86 6.0.1, running off a flash drive, installed through rufus 2.6.

i can install it without erase win 10, is there a guide step by step?

Mirek has given instructions on page one. have a look step by step. Great rom by the way. Mirek would still love  to see this as a straight android device, I know I see people just want windows but Android works great here. Can you put a third option on your installer to wipe windows and just install android? looking forward to v2

I improved scheduler drastically !

Look on cpu spy while browsing internet  🙂 only 8 % cpu on the highest speed instead of 50 % like before …

No more hotness and device works much longer !

You do wonderful work, Mirek.  I’m surprised the Googleplex hasn’t sent a tractor beam your way.  🙂   Your ROM, esp. performance improvements like tuning the scheduler… that could be a Ph.D. dissertation.  I know of at least two dissertations about algorithms for schedulers.

1. File system5.img (rom folder) should be renamed to system.img to flash properly.
2. No change in build number (its still mirek190_v1 after flash, i did clean flash).

Yes,  I flash v2 and really it is the v1 because the rom have Chrome and the build number is mirek190_v1

AHHHHHHHHHHHH! guys pls help me! MIREK pls help us . my tablet recognize only 32gb micro sd. 64 microsdxc and 128gb are only seen in windows …. so upset because of this :((( otherwise woul be a great tablet

Is this a limitation of your rom? Because in stock rom in my tablet task manager shows 4gb of ram….
