If one does the thermal mod, would this software mod be beneficial?
Thermal mod should be the best way to go, but it may not for everyone to open up and mod a brand new tablet.
August 6, 2016 at 6:25 pm #45922Thanks for the guide, but I can feel the responsiveness is a lot slower after setting max power state to 65%.
My sweet spot is do the under voltage above, and simply change power plan to the default power saver, the tablet is noticeably cooler (CPU temp 45C – 54C under normal web browsing) without much impact on performance.
July 25, 2016 at 4:59 pm #44434Ordered the i7 Book keyboard and stylus from Gearbest, shipped in 2 days but the tracking no. by Kerry Express to Singapore is no way to track at all… and I received both items today 🙂
March 26, 2016 at 2:50 am #30900how do you install that new driver? i have no idea where to put those files exactly. please respond
Unzip the files. Go device manager, right click your graphic device and select update driver. Instead of searching drivers online, point to the folder that contains the driver.
March 24, 2016 at 2:07 pm #30735Hi, this is a fix
Hello. Thank you for your detailed instructions. I have Chuwi hi10 Q64G42151202677 model. with c106_B101UAN.607 x 64 version of BIOS. I tried 4352 version of driver. But the flickering still appears. Maybe you have some other thoughts how to resolve it? Should we write at Chuwi official forum?
I don’t think asking help from Chuwi official forum (both Chinese & English) is more useful than asking here, their Chinese forum is full of random / junk comments. I asked their support (through QQ – the China version of MSN) for the latest BIOS, ask them about the version, and they told me they also don’t know, I will know the version after I flash it…

I find this 4352 version driver greatly reduce the flickering after 3 days usage. No flicker when resume from sleep during video play, no flicker when resume from sleep during heavy app usage, no flicker when moving a video playing Window, no flicker when I turn on the tablet, yet… However, the driver did suddenly hanged 2 times (screen black out for a few second) and Windows says it has been recovered from a graphic driver problem. But it happens on older driver 4331 too.
March 24, 2016 at 8:46 am #30694I have googled a bit about this Broadcom driver problem. It seems like Broadcom driver 1.496 has problem under Windows 10 (update 1511).
I have found an older Broadcom driver which may worth another try.
DriverVer=07/28/2015, 1.478.0.0
March 24, 2016 at 8:20 am #30690Thank you for the drivers and the instructions, Alex. I copied the drivers (I have H10 v 200), completely uninstalled both devices (Brodcom 802.11n Wireless CDIO Adapter and bcmfn Device). When I scanned for hardware changes it will bring up two Unknown Devices without installed drivers. I updated one driver and got this error in the end: This device is currently waiting for another device or set of devices to start. (Code 51) When I updated the second device I got another error: Device cannot start (code 10) When I updated 43430r0nvram.TXT in c:\windows\system32\drivers\ folder and restarted computer I ended up with the exactly the same situation I had before. What am I doing wrong?
According to this post: http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/chuwi-hi10-turning-off-randomly/page/3/#post-22023
the “43430r0nvram” text file need to be rename without extension, may worth a try:
unrar C106(X64)–全部驱动.rar
in WIFI folder you’ll find V200 BROADCOM drivers and a text file named “43430r0nvram.txt”– install the driver with installshield installation files
– rename the text file to “43430r0nvram” without the “.txt” extension
– copy it to c:\windows\system32\drivers\ folder, if there’s already an existing file, replace it or renamed it before copying
– rebootMarch 24, 2016 at 3:41 am #30672Thank you for the response, Alex. There is no need to be in a safe mode to uninstall and reinstall a driver. I did it several times. Maybe the drivers that I copied from CHUWI website are wrong or maybe it’s a hardware issue but I had no improvements after I did it. Any other idea or maybe you can attach here the specific drivers you used so I could download and try them?
Hi @vadim424, I have extracted the official WiFi drivers from Chuwi (for both V200 and V300) and uploaded to below:
For Broadcom, DriverVer=08/23/2015, 1.496.0.0
Please follow below for Broadcom drivers, as per the readme in Chinese: 安装V200_wifi驱动须知.txt
“Once installed the driver, you have to copy this file: 43430r0nvram.TXT to this location: c:\windows\system32\drivers\
After above steps, please disable and than enable the wifi device (properly it means in device manager), or you may restart the machine instead.”
March 23, 2016 at 12:17 pm #30528I downloaded the drivers from CHUWI website but they did not help as the drivers that were updated by windows were even newer, I still have the same diver issue and now WiFi. Anyone could help?
I am using the same version Broadcom driver on my 1st batch Hi10 (64 bit) and so far so good, except occasionally disconnect which I can accept.
Did you try to completely uninstall the Broadcom driver (in safe mode), and than reinstall again?
March 23, 2016 at 6:27 am #30503Yes I am currently using this graphic driver 20.19.15.4352, update from ver 4331. I got it from Chuwi China forum and it seems this driver can solve the screen flicker problem, i need to test it for a few more days though. This driver is for 64 bit only.
Thank you, Alex! I have added your link to the original post with a notation that you are still testing it. Please give us an update on how it is working and if it does fix screen flickering and black screen issues. I can typically cause screen flickering or black screen if tablet goes into sleep mode in the middle of a program. I got screen flicker after tablet went to sleep when I was on a Word document and when I paused streaming a movie. Looking forward to your update in a few days.
ok @kravmama1 I will try to test on above conditions also, will come back to you soon.

Hello. Thank you for your detailed instructions. I have Chuwi hi10 Q64G42151202677 model. with c106_B101UAN.607 x 64 version of BIOS. I have a problem with plugging/unplugging hdmi cable to TV. When I plug it, I see windows on TV, black screen on tablet. When I unplug the cable, the screen on tablet starts flickering. My Intel HD drivers version – 20.19.15.4308 from 22/10/2015 Could you help me with this issue? Maybe you can give the link to the latest Intel HD Graphics driver? Thank you.

March 22, 2016 at 8:20 am #30354Thanks @kurpter for the comments. I told my friend about it and he decided to give this Cube i9 a shot, he ordered from Taobao China and was told shipping in 2 weeks together with the official keyboard, price is RMB$ 2999 with the keyboard.
March 20, 2016 at 8:46 am #30106I have just updated my Hi10 first batch (SN: 0001-1028) to 64 bit bios and 64 bits Windows 10 from the Chuwi official image. The upgrade is smoother than my expectations. After flashing the Windows 10, all drivers are installed. However the Broadcom WiFi is not stable under 64bit and it will sometimes disconnect, and Windows 10 power state failure occasionally occur during heavy network usage.
*after a few days usage on the newly upgraded 64 bit Windows, the WiFi seems much more stable, no more disconnect and I did not see the Power State Failure error happening again.
