No it doesn’t.
September 13, 2016 at 4:08 am #49634I gather that the C Port does handle data transmission and yours is faulty?
Yep mine is definitely faulty. Saw that some other forumners also got it working.
September 12, 2016 at 5:11 pm #49589My USB-C port also works when connecting the tablet to a PC so it’s definitely not just for charging. Unfortunately I cannot test it with OTG storage as I don’t have an adapter. Sorry. @TWICE: Just checking. Are you sure your adapter is plugged in properly? I don’t know how long it is but it seems like it sticks out quite a bit. The USB-C port on my tablet was initially very tight and when I plugged in the charging cable for the first few times I didn’t push it far enough.
yep couldn’t push it in any further than that.
September 11, 2016 at 12:09 pm #49443The only thing the Type C port can be used for is charging. Nothing else. Not even OTG. Tried and tested.
That is wrong. I can plug usb drives into the type c port using an adapter. Haven’t tested for usb3 speed.
Mine doesn’t work. Could be my port being faulty then. I could use the OTG adapter on my Mi5 so the adapter is definitely not faulty.

But the Type C port in the iWork 10 doesn’t not function as USB 3.0/3.1. Just hardwired to USB 2.0 port and simply calling it Type C. For charging, the one with microUSB 3.0 charges via the microUSB 2.0 port but the Type C version charges via the Type C port instead of the microUSB 2.0 port. That’s about it.
September 11, 2016 at 11:59 am #49441It can only be used for charging. Nothing else. You cannot connect a USB C hub to it. It will not work.
September 7, 2016 at 6:16 pm #49129more or less the same. you only have to note the port that is on the tablet; microUSB 3.0 or USB Type C.
August 18, 2016 at 5:42 pm #47250TBH not many selection for 9.7″ windows tablet. Probably only Onda and Teclast but please stay away from Onda. It is disastrous. My V919 Air got bricked when I tried to format it in windows 10(using normal windows format). Even Chris mentioned about their software like spotty WiFi with one of their tablet, the V919 Air CH I believe. I’m also looking for a 9.7″ Windows tablet to replace my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7″ to run some c++ codes when I’m out but can’t seem to find any good ones.
August 17, 2016 at 11:51 am #47098Thick and ugly bezel. I would go for the cube i7 book or i9 instead.

Not even thumbdrives? Also the reported changes to RAM type and storage add to the negatives.
Nope not even thumbdrive. I have a USB C adapter that I use with my MacBook and mi5 and when I connected it to this tablet, it doesn’t read anything.

August 13, 2016 at 3:20 am #46615Isn’t that the problem with your TV itself? You have to adjust the gamma and contrast on your TV.
July 27, 2016 at 3:21 am #44651Hans, did u contact gearbest.com with the complaints regarding the tablet and their false advertisement regarding the hardware this tablet contains?
Not yet, but I will in the next couple of days. I wanted to write a 1star review, but I couldnt yet, because I did not buy the tablet through my own account; my friend bought it for me with my shipping address. So I asked him if I could write a review on his account, you just can write a review if you bought it through your account. Maybe it’s just Gearbest fault and they replaced some components or asked the manufacturer for a custom build cheaper design. So thats the reason why just a few people who bought it through Gearbest got the bad RAM and other problems. Because the tablet is strangly “way” cheaper on Gearbest compared to other sellers or Cubes own shop. I even contacted Cube but they said they wont give me any help nor information of any kind and I need to contact the reseller with any complains or warranty issues.
I have both the Type C from GearBest, Type C from Cube china directly purchased and the one with microUSB 3.0 which was also purchased directly from Cube China. I will check later if it is really just GearBest selling the one with cheaper RAM or every Type C model has the cheaper RAM.
July 17, 2016 at 3:57 pm #43762I get what you mean. I did a search in google and it seems more of a problem from windows side. Seems like its pretty common
July 16, 2016 at 3:11 pm #43632I believe you didn’t specify the type/brand of charger you used, which was why I assumed that the charger that you’ve used was not outputting enough power to charge your tablet since you claimed that it charges only at 0.5A.
Quoted from your post “I think the problem is, that this stupid tablet just uses 0.5A regardless of the cable or charger you use. That would also explain why it charges so damn slow.” which is not the case for me, so I recommended you guys to try different charger but since the charger is not at fault here, have you tried other Type C cable? I tried the XiaoMi USB Type A to C cable and it is charging at the same speed as the stock cable at 2.2A-2.4A. My other iWork 10 Ultimate with the microUSB 3.0 port charges more slowly at only 1.8A even when it is turned off. I have another iWork 10 Ultimate Type C arriving next week from a different supplier. I will test that one out and see if there is any difference in charging speed.
