No need to – it is a software issue only for the F6Pro.

Typing this on the F6Pro I use since a year now, this is the only issue I came upon. Otherwise this little machine just works for me. Nice!

I don’t think this is true, check:

    https://www.transcend-info.com/Products/No-642

The 400S is still sold and actively supported. Lots of sales on ebay and amazon.

Looks like Microsoft will issue an patch for the audio issue in the 1809 update with KB4468550:

    > You’ll need to look to the Chinese market to find one, since Western retailers do not sell them because of the thermal issues they inherit.

    Really?

Works great in the F6. No thermal issues whatsoever….

JFTR: I had good success (EZBook 3 Pro V4) with a Transcend MTS400S 256 2242 M.2 SSD (TS256GMTS400S). Also cloning with the Transcend software worked fine, basically a one-click installation. I use it since February now, no issues.

Thanks for the tip setting the power button to ‘turn screen off’.

I think it may be due to the sensors, sometimes produce outlier data / noise which is filtered inadequate. The Lenovo Yoga had some versions wth the same issue, which could be resolved by disabling the ymc (Yoga Mode Control) service. I’ll try if disabling the HingeAngleService helps in the case of the F6. I do not use the tablet mode anyway. 😉

Yes, its sad that Cube is so silent abou this issue.

This is a major flaw rendering the I7 Book and i9 (in fact any Skylake/Kabylake based systems) almost useless to handle important information as they cannot be trusted anymore.

C’mon Cube, is it so hard to give a statement regarding this bug and a timeline for an bios update? Show us customers some respect!

Thanks – I have now forced the Creators Update too, the process worked right out of the box on my modded I7 Book (thermal mod, 512GB SSD).  No problems so far.

Is the WiFi driver in RemixOS better than the one in the stock Android?

I ask because the std. Android does not work reliable at all here, except if I put a Wifi repeater within 5 meters. It occasionally locks up to the point when Wifi stops working and the tablet needs a reboot (very annoying when watching Netflix/AmazonPrime!). Seems to be related to WIFI receive strength, as it does only happen without repeater. Also not on Windows, here the rate drops (significantly) but it does go south completely. I only get occasional blue screens from the realtek wifi driver on shutdown.
