If you read this thread (which is irresponsibly marked ‘fixed’ for reasons unknown) starting page 22,
it seems like the same issues that plague Plus I is also showing up in Plus II… Buyers beware if sd card readability is vital to you…
August 18, 2016 at 1:24 am #47163Sad to hear Plus II is having same issues as Plus I, if it follows the same pattern, eventually you won’t see sd card in android either.
Like most on this thread, I am baffled as to why this thread is marked as solved. As probably the largest english based teclast community outside of China, it is highly irresponsible.
June 6, 2016 at 11:37 am #40006After a few weeks of trouble free usage with all fat32 sdcards, from 32gb to 128gb, readable in both windows(using win8 drivers) & android, woke up this morning to discover BOTH windows & android no longer read any sdcards I own. In android, when I insert a card, it goes to “preparing sdcard”, then immediately goes to “safe to remove sdcard” without ever mounting it. Reflashed roms, both windows & android, resetting bios to default, etc, nothing works.
Guess I’m a club member now.
April 23, 2016 at 12:56 am #34733Thanks for sharing, as you said, at least it works, for my normal windows work, mainly word processing & presentation files, I notice no perceivable difference in speed, which is good enough 🙂
As soon as stock finish downloading, I’ll reflash & test without wifi connection, if stock works, I’ll turn off all updates & leave it as that. I’m really curious what is the stock driver for a6c7.
Update: Reflashed both android & windows stock, sd works again, stock driver is 10.0.10240.16515, bios is 3.01, don’t know how long this will last…
April 22, 2016 at 4:01 pm #34683Device Manager ->
SD host adapters ->
Update Driver Software ->
Browse my computer for driver software ->
Let me pick … ->
There’s 2 version of driver in mine, 10.0.10240.16515 and 6.3.9600.16408 unsigned, I tested both & 1 works. Either the driver has always been there or I installed it from all the troubleshooting attempts, I can’t remember, which is also why I’m trying to download & flash stock rom to find out what’s the original version that worked.
I can extract it for you to test when I’m back home, now on mobile, cheers.
April 22, 2016 at 12:03 pm #34640Thanks for sharing, never had a problem with 32gb and below, before and after flashing… & when I said I read a6c7 had no issues with sd, I meant what I read in techtablet & xda… wasn’t referring to any particular person’s post.
Update: Fixed!
Device Manager, downgraded SD Host adapters, all 3 controllers, to Intel SD Host Controller version 6.3.9600.16408, card detected without error even before reboot.
Now I’m going to turn off all automatic updates to prevent it from updating. I’ll finish downloading and flashing the stock though, to find out whether this is the original driver that came with tablet, will be interesting to know…
April 22, 2016 at 8:27 am #34626I’ve tried everything mentioned in the other thread about sd cards including bios, etc… & mirek’s change log said:
- added new drivers from intel – should works fine with win 10 now.
Seeing that my tablet has no issues with sd cards before mirek v3, can’t see how it’s a bios problem… I’ve seen no one with a6c7 having sd problems on windows, no need to insist on anything, tq.
ps: in any case, we’ll find out soon enough as soon as I manage to download a6c7 stock and reflash that, downloading super slow though, will take a while, meanwhile, chill.
April 22, 2016 at 12:23 am #34609Thanks for trying, Androidgismo, 128gb sdxc is the problem, apparently it was solved with a6c7, I never had a problem with mine on both android & windows, until mirek v3, I’m now trying to roll back windows with stock firmware, hopefully solve the problem…
April 21, 2016 at 3:54 am #34533Hi, do you mind testing on windows, the sd card detection, if yours is 128gb?
April 21, 2016 at 1:19 am #34524Mine is a6c7, working for both windows & android up to mirek v2.1, after flashing mirek v3, no longer detected in windows.
April 20, 2016 at 3:42 pm #34446Android works perfectly for me, unfortunately, windows now don’t detect my 128gb card… a6c7… in changelog for v3, intel drivers updated, maybe thats why…
Update: I look under device manager, SD Storage Class Controller properties, status is Device Cannot Start.
Is there any way to roll back the intel drivers from mirek v3?
April 19, 2016 at 8:38 am #34227Installed a6c7, works perfectly.
April 5, 2016 at 3:22 pm #32144Received mine today, A6C7 also, but I don’t need the cameras so flashed mirek, everything runs smooth, thanks!
