This worked for swipe down and swipe right, but swipe left still opens the notifications bar on the right. Pinch to zoom also still happens. I am using ChuWi HiBook Pro

January 6, 2016 at 1:27 am #21346The Hi10 does fairly well on multitasking and lightweight games, especially for being a low-end Intel Atom.
For gaming, it really depends on what games you have in mind. If its in the Windows store though, its likely that this will run it.
And as for multitasking, I have been able to have multiple tabs open, along with a game downloading from steam, along with music playing, along with browsing YouTube; It ran fine. If that’s what you have in mind for multitasking, then the ChuWi Hi10 will be fine. The 4 cores really help there.
January 2, 2016 at 5:28 pm #20978My Hi10 from VC Mall on Aliexpress doesn’t seem to have these problems. I do notice that it takes forever to charge. For some reason, charging it while its on sleep mode seems to be a little faster. Graphical performance is also okay on the tablet, as I can run Bioshock on low settings.
December 31, 2015 at 9:33 pm #20760What does this mean (In the attached pic)? I never bought a ChuWi Hi8 or case. I did get the Black Friday deal where they sent me a bluetooth keyboard/case/screen protector with my Hi10…
Should I let them know? Or should I just accept the random case? I could sell it on eBay or something. idk probably not worth it.

December 31, 2015 at 1:35 am #20646OK Somehow I got it working! If you had the same problem of booting into EFI Shell with a “map not found” problem, message or reply to me and I’ll try to talk you through the randomness I went through in the BIOS to magically fix this problem.
I plan on posting YouTube tutorials for how to run AAA games from 5 years ago on the tablet (With some performance mods, of course)
December 30, 2015 at 6:27 pm #20593VC Mall told me to ship my tablet back to be replaced, but I would have to pay for the first shipping cost. The lowest price I can find is about $50, which is way more than I’m willing to spend on this after the $169.99. So I’ve opened a dispute, detailing all the boot problems, possible hardware problems, screen bubbles, and oddities in the BIOS. I’ve asked for a partial refund of $149.99, to cover the cost of the tablet, but not the cost of the free bluetooth keyboard (without touchpad) and micro-usb charger.
Do you think I’ll get my money back? Should I try getting a refund via my credit card company (Visa)?
Or is there a cheaper shipping alternative (From MA, USA)?
December 30, 2015 at 4:27 am #20495Obed. I bough it in GeekBuying. Still trying to figure out how to access Android. It supossed to be dual boot.
Although mine came defective, if you go into the BIOS I saw stuff about Android, even though that wasn’t advertised on Aliexpress; But then again, I also said documentation in the BIOS about Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, so they probably are reusing old software.
Still, if yours was advertised to have Android, try going into the BIOS and changing the boot options.
December 30, 2015 at 3:57 am #20491I am returning mine, as it boots into EFI Shell reporting that it can’t map the boot selection, so I think the hard drive connector is disconnected from the motherboard. I can get into BIOS by typing exit, and I can boot off of USB, but it recognizes no storage device.
Sadly, I’ll probably have to wait another month to get a replacementĀ š
December 29, 2015 at 1:30 am #20281I received mine, but it doesn’t work. It boots to EFI saying “map: Cannot find required map name.”. I hope I can fix this, but not many people seem to be having this problem on tablets, so I don’t know how to fix it. If I ask for a refund, will I have to ship it back? I can get into the bios by typing exit.

December 23, 2015 at 5:28 pm #19706I am eligible for the free bluetooth keyboard, which I might just sell and buy a better one. The one in the pictures you gave looks a little too thick compared to most other mini-laptop keyboards. Are there other keyboards that would work?
December 17, 2015 at 7:58 pm #18995It says they started shipping mine earlier today, hopefully its not a fake tracking number.
December 13, 2015 at 8:14 pm #18472I would wait until the last day of buyer protection to see if it comes in. If it doesn’t, open a dispute. If it does, then no harm no foul.
