Looking at my keyboard (same official one as you), I’m not seeing any Pause/Break key :(. If it’s really needed, perhaps looking into using Autohotkey could work for you?
February 18, 2017 at 9:53 pm #62429Android x86 is the most complete Android experience I’ve been able to get with this baby. It’s not perfect, but it works, mostly. I’ve tried Emulators like Bluestacks and Andy, and Android x86 still works the best in my opionion.
The things that aren’t working, are the Microphone, and Rotation (the rotation can be manually changed with apps from the Play Store though).

February 8, 2017 at 11:35 pm #61896Papa Yoyo, you are the best :).
February 7, 2017 at 2:40 am #61751Great job Papa Yoyo, works perfectly! Thank you!
February 4, 2017 at 8:16 pm #61600I’m not sure that is possible, unless you can edit the BIOS. That would be cool though ?
February 4, 2017 at 1:54 pm #61589As far as the logo, it is supposed to be. But calibration wise, you are correct, there is too much Blue (actually, technically, it’s a lack of Red).
I calibrated mine, and it’s perfect now. Give me a day or two, and I will upload my ICC profile for everyone to use ?.
February 4, 2017 at 1:48 pm #61588This should work to disable the touchpad gestures without disabling the windows key & button… In regedit create the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer create a new DWORD NoWinKeys and set its value to 1
This didn’t work for me ?. Anyone else get this method to work?
January 31, 2017 at 3:28 am #61260So the reason I was seeing it in Android x86, and Xubuntu as well, is because the Keyboard automatically sends the Windows key (it’s hardware), and as Papa Yoyo mentioned, the only way to fix it is to disable the Windows key (which is a shame, but true 🙁 ).
January 29, 2017 at 6:47 pm #61193disable all touchpad gestures by disabling the windows key with sharpkeys. It also disables the windows button on the tablet but i can live with that.
Good to know on the Windows side, thank you :).
January 29, 2017 at 10:53 am #61164I’ll look into that, and report back, thank you :).
Although, I’m working in Android x86 right now, and it’s still pulling the same crap. So I defiantly think it’s something build into the keyboard.
January 28, 2017 at 6:09 am #61105Usually a high pitched “whine” is normal for computers (fun fact, the older you get, the less you can hear it 😀 ). But a “hiss” defiantly doesn’t sound right (pardon the pun ;D ).
I would say, check the residue, and also the contact point (if there isn’t enough pressure applied to the paste/cpu, problems could arise). Make sure it’s nice and snug in there.
January 28, 2017 at 5:33 am #61104Another issue is the Google Accounts and Play login, I get a message like “can’t connect to the service” when I try to. There’s an alternative app store, but of course logging in will be essential when I use Remix OS more.
That’s good to know. I haven’t been able to fully test Android x86 (since it’s upside down :D), but I’m pretty sure that I was able to install Google Play apps without any problems. I just Plastidiped my i7 Book, so it will be a day or two before I can full test it again :D.
January 28, 2017 at 5:19 am #61103In my experiance with Xubuntu, I haven’t found a flaw at all. Rotation doesn’t seem to do anything, but I don’t think that Xfce supports rotation anyways, so no biggie :).
My only problems have been with Android x86. I made a post about it (https://techtablets.com/forum/topic/android-x86-6-0-issues-on-cube-i7-book/), but I thought I’d share with you, that there are a few things not quite working in Android.
- Screen Rotation works, but is inverted. Which means, it’s always upside down 😀
- On Screen Keyboard does not seem to want to show up… ever, no matter what you try (only manual toggling works)
- Touch seems to be very unresponsive on most tasks. Where you would expect to “tap” something, you actually need to hold it for a second.
