Hi Daniel, yeah long time no see 🙂
sorry to hear about your battery, any reason for it completely fallen in on itself and not being able to hold an charge, as in that is an relative new tablet, (1year) unless one have recharge it to the extreme numbers.
Took a look on Aliexpress and didnt see any either that where specific headed at X2 or X3 models.
but on the other hand, wouldnt it be possible to just get the dimensions correct on another liionpack and cell numbers (aka something that can fit in its place) and then just desolder if there is batt-protection fitted to the old bad packs and put that on a new pack. (unsure if that would work??, and you would likely need to go some capacity down in lack of optimal X2 batt-bay-dimension if one use some third party tabletbatterypack..(but useally they are pretty cheap) do you have the dimensions on the X2 battery?
-but on the other hand, there seems to be more to these batterypacks that used in tablet and laptops, and sometimes there is also some firmware protection that needs to be reset.(or at least thats my impression, remember that an old laptop of mine HP pavilion 17.3 dv9500) where the system says change battery and aint able to keep an charge and was wondering if I could just open the pack and exchange the bad 18650cells with good 18650cells used in most laptops, but it doesnt look like it is that easy when i examined it on the net and you could encounter that the firmware for the battery also need to be reset by seperate reset-hardware, so dropped that approach of manuall repair these 18650 cells
also wondering if thats the case why there is no battery information on my X2. and I have taken it a part again and carefully check the battery connection, and unconnected for some time etc. but no battery spec info at all.
it just shows 100% 24/7.. i tryed to load the original teclast x2 image with also the inbuild crapp android emulator, and and same in andoid emu there no info on the battery values at all. (the battery seems to work ok, at lest to some point’ it does keep the charge, but its doubtfull where you are on the drain and and what power is left in the battery,
I had the X2 pro in the closet for ½ year with the battery plug unconnected, so perhaps here there have been some reset of battery values or memory or ?? doesnt display any batt-values and its a pain in the ass
and also now have problems with bluetooth, the X2 pro doesnt noticify any equipment or the microsoft arc BT mouse i useally use with it , and I assume its because when i make an clean install here latest to get rid of the heavy emu.. there is allways these 4 driver-errors when double drivers make the driverrestore , (made the restore from tecttablets doubledriver dump) with doubledriver..(but how the hell do one repair these error, the bluetooth or anything else doesnt display any problems in hardwaremanagement)January 14, 2017 at 7:38 pm #60436
have you tryed to driverdump? // https://techtablets.com/teclast-x3-pro/downloads/
also having problems with bluettooth, ewen thow its on the X2pro (but not much difference)
made an clean install, to get rid of that heavy old teclast image packing android emu.. and afterwa´rds install doubledriverdump from here and gttouchsetting.(close to everything seems to work)
but are getting some errors (4errors-pic attached) when using doubledriver, and wondering if these are to blame for my x2pro-bluetooth not finding anything, while turning it on..// will check further to see how to manuelly put these drivers in..and if that makes any difference..
// the engine-room seems to fire on all cylinders (geek4 stock)January 10, 2017 at 6:19 am #60187
What problems are you encounting with the X2 pro battery?
myself also has some issues, but its a weird one.
Have had my X2 pro laying the closet for some months (lazy and needed to repair the antenna cable, since the female-pex-plug was trumped, and there is some variations on these antenna cable ufl, mhf3 mhf4 etc, when it comes to these small ipex plugs) and had the battery cable taken out while it was laying in the closet.
but finally decided to repair it and not least put some fresh heatsink on it and it sems to work, but the battery data went haywire and doesnt display values, it just says 100% 24/7..(tryed to make an clean install with fresh wondows, didnt help and tonight used the teclast own 8gb image-build and the same, doesnt display battery-values at all, and wonder what the hell, and the reason behind this issue and if one of the battery pins in the plugs are not connected..
what issues do you encounter with your battery since you looking for an new?May 18, 2016 at 5:32 pm #37848
The linked site seem quite informing, however, it seems to be limited to US-based CashBack Sites, no?
They doesnt state it anywhere as fare as i can see, but i noticed Topcashback in the Banggood listing, and aint that an english funded one.. notice there seems to be promoting them self af englands biggest cashback site?
but perhaps they got multiple different sites, both UK & US but Quidco doesnt seem to be present, at least those few stores i looked at..May 17, 2016 at 10:56 pm #37768
I got two purchases running at Quidco, and stated with “We estimate your Cashback will be available by 20 August”
In my case, the time-frame doesnt matter.. im just happy to get an small value ‘ i had newer calculated with, since the price was quite attractive to start with.
Certainly happy for the hint vgizio.. havent given this cashback-affaire much notice previusly, often just write it of as doubtfull’ as in likely to much hazzle for to little.
only cashbacks’ i have taken advantage was when british Dixons danishfirm “Elgiganten” put the big version of the Xperia Z2 tablet on sale at blackfriday 2014 for half price, and meanwhile had sony scandinavia an cashback running on there flagship products. valid for purchases at all retail store ‘ so that made that Z2 tablet spg512 possible for purchase for only 220US.. that was 1/3 of what it actually went for on sony’s national site-store. (and its certainly great android tablet for the money i ended up paying, best i have had, love the thinness and nice alternative to the heavy x2 these days)
the earlyer pasted site, helps with comparing the different cashback-sites, and list the procentage and links to some of the welcome-bonus-fee and reviews of how succesfull other users are at them.(It can be quite usefull)May 15, 2016 at 2:23 pm #37415
sounds good that its legit and a fair cashback site, but i noticed the following notice from users..https://www.quidco.com/banggood-com/?st=bang&tr=10808&fn=merchant&fr=multiple&si=573885579de5f&sv=4
Large cashbacks are declined
Ordered a few times from Banggood and any cash back over £10 is usually declined. Very disappointing with this result.
can that really be the case that Banggood decline cashbacks if they wants to, and partically cashback of higher value and more then +10pounds (mine was of 14.5pounds).. then it doesnt make sense to put orders together, but seperate them at all times..May 14, 2016 at 2:21 pm #37298
vgiozo.. jep ‘ when i looked at Banggood they got an hole catagory called electronics, but its only an fraction of there stuff, so quads was likely not related to that, so it would have been standard cashback at 3%.
I choosed Quidco, and it seems to have succeded in recording the transaction to 6% around 15pounds.. so topnudge, thx..
it was an JJRC X1 I purrchased at Banggood to 79.95US and thats pretty cheap for an brushless quadcopter ready to fly. (just shipping such an item would cost around that 80buck-price, if it was from US to DK, like in the Blade sortiment.
I also decided to purchase an collective pitch 3d-quadcopter now that it was -20% and pretty cheap shipping around 270US delivered and to have some outdoor fun here in the warm-summer and make some vicked recordings with the runcam2 thats still on the slow boat from china, that was on sale at laborday for 77..
it certainly aboves my skills in RC (noob), but I will learn and spareitems is cheap for this now, and it looks like a lot of fun.
thx, for cashback-notice, and it will carry some of the import charge and makes it an little easyer to eat, so perfect, just a shame I didnt took notice earlyer, it will sum up in the long run.May 14, 2016 at 9:25 am #37260
I would assume there would quite an audience, if somebody should have appetit to making an YT video of the possiblelities with the x2 pro, and partically booting in Android or setting up linux on it.
the tablet seems to sell quite good, and many of the things could also be valid for X3 pro owners, so quite an viewerbase for any with appetit and skills in this field.
and not least the Intel Dual Band AC 3165 card Teclast have suited there X3 pro up with in one of the socalled open sockets, and if that intel card can be purchase seprately (cost around 12 to 14US on ebay) and used in the X2 pro to get ac ‘ dualband now that Teclast-AC-drivers are in play.
Myself would certainly cherise such pioneering yt-videos..May 14, 2016 at 7:50 am #37247
Hmm, it seems this site got the highest atm on Banggood with 6.3% (but havent registred, so if changes after reg and detail it with lower values, in some productgroups cant say..
but this statement (attached picture) pretty much says, -the use of coupon / voucher not present at the cashback-coupon-overview, can meen you not eglible for cashback, and since there aint any coupons vouchers present, I will assume, use of an coupon on banggood, makes you not eligble for cashback with the use of an bangood coupon…http://www.topcashback.co.uk/banggood/May 14, 2016 at 5:39 am #37235
thx for the links vgiozo to the cashback-infos in this thread and are about to make an order of around 350US on BG and thought about taking advantage of the cashback-sites, would be silly not to, if it as simple as pointed out and it play along with coupondeals on BG and sitewide products.
BG seems to be around 6 to 8% http://www.cashbackholic.com/cashback-rebates-banggood.com.html
but as a first-time-user of cashback, the procentage doesnt meen much, first and foremost that its easy and the money is not to restricted, but are open for fx one’s paypal account without to much hazzle and the site are valid for users from scandinavia / Denmark..
At first glance, giving-assistant seems optimal..will try them out..edit // seems its product-group-dependant..(picture)3% on tablets and likewise, but the things i wanne buy right now is some brushless quads, so guess its 5% and rc multimotors are under electronics-rule, but could also be standard cashback, as group, since it will more be under some hobby group then bare electronic-sector.are there anyway you can see what cashback are in play before ordering, or you simply have to assume apropiate catergory, since some things like tabletkeyboard, could be both be tablets, or electronic.May 9, 2016 at 9:32 pm #36571
I reckon its the same as the x2 prowith 256 levels..(and 256 or 1024 or 2056 levels, tjahh ? dont feel it a world of difference in use)
I would like more that they got different tips, and a softer one in rubber’ish finish..
anybody disasempled one of the x2pro stylus, and if the hardplastic-tip can be exchanged for an rubberone.
but overall, it works as expected, the pressure seems okay in the apps that supports it and with price in mind you cant realy complain, i recall i paid around 15US for the x2pro stylus in fall15.
but there is something IM a little unsure about and thats the on/off .. it seems to be it just activates the moment it close to the tablet and it works great, but my x2 pro is often just in landscape mode on an stand for stockquotes streamingprograms where the deep canvas is ideel, and with the x2 pro stylus on the side of the x2 pro and the magnets on the side of x2 pro holds it there. (it looks great and works great) but if its the “near the tablet” that turn the stylus on then it will take its toll on the battery, if its allways on when near the tablet. (is that the case)
(but not that big a problem after I have found the AAAA batteries to a couple of bucks shipped for 4 pieces.) but here in Denmark the aaaa batteries are insane pricey ‘ if you can find them.
but I would definately recomend the stylus for the x2 or x3 and what your getting for relative little money, for come on 15US shipped, certinly aint a lot, and just the battery almost cost more here, and same with shipping, and getting active stylus with pressure sensitivity for that kind of money, is impressive.-
cons, its a bit unprecise around the edges, at least in some apps, but it seems to be an overall stulys-tech-issue when near edges.
I noticed the review of the Tbook teclast stylus T10pen, with mix-views and lacking press-sensitivity , and if that goes for around 32US , the x2/x3 stulys is a no brainer on the x2/x3 tablets and I for one’ love the thin form factor in regards to some pressure sensitivity-stylus is quite bulky..
Will love som insigt about how this stylus work and its on/off details
// edit, have just checked the current-comsumption with an multimeter, when its near the tablet it uses 0.25mA and when it connected to the screen and in specific use and touching the screen it’s around 0.60mAMay 7, 2016 at 6:33 pm #36371
@jakob-rasmussen I have now received my usb hub. And it works great! the usb-ports are delivering high read and write-speeds, and the lan-port is giving me 95mbit and im paying for 100 so that more than good. Have you received yours yet? And how is it going for you with your x2? Have you returned it since the weight-diffrence?
also have recived mine now, and it seems to do the job quite good with no limiting in USB ports or on the cable.
just right now here saturday evning tested the speed on speedtest on different servers, and was supprised to see it manage 2 to 300mb on 20 meters network cable to an old wndr4300 router.
so doesnt seem to be any limiting going on at the usb3 ports on cable, and on the usb harddisk attached, it fullfilles the same as if its plugged directly in the usb3 port on the x2 and all is without a dc power-to the DC input. (havent tryed multiple usb3 disk running at once)
so for an 10uS shipped device, topnudge and on cable the x2 pro, certainly seem to tage advantage of bandwich..
// will one of the comming days make the thermal mod, have all the things needeed in numerous sizes, and this device needs it badly.. certainly gets hot just these nettests manage 82degrees in ETU..May 1, 2016 at 3:56 pm #35721
Can you recommend a batterybank you know is good?
Daniel, if you looking for an god powerbank with cells of some quality, I would recommend the Xiaomi 10000..
its overall of decent quality an carrry an truthfully mah-rating.
certainly satified with mine, that i purchased at BG for about a year ago for 12.66.
actually just purchased another this moment for my mom, since it today can be optain for 12.40US on FT with an 15% “laborday” coupon.
just the cells inside cost more, if you wanted to purchase them seeperate, often they use 18650 LG or Samsung as I recall, but overall an solid powerbank that holds the current high in the 2.6 – 2.8amp when Im putting load on it thrue an ZXYstudio1270 meter and keeps the voltage high.
Its really strong in the high amps.
and today laborday they got -15% on all. myself gone bananas in big an small, and way to much.
also purchased some of the Xiaomi USB fan since they are pretty good and suppringsinly quit and to only 1.84US piece is quite attractive for org Xioami fans for the summer and also xiaomi silicon skin for the powerbank, with the sitewide -15% today.
In my view the Xiaomi 10k is still best value for money and have been it for more then a year.
On an close to full p8max and powerbank close tio empty it still manages 1.3 amps, and in the sweetspot up to around 90% charge, its pretty close to the original premium 2A huawei-charger when on mains, and that takes around 2 hours to charge from cero to 90-95% and that okay when you have ind mind the mobiles battery is 4360mah and its an device in the +6mm areaer-thiness and the huawei quick charge should be significantly lesser destrayable on the battery then the fx QC2.0 & QC3.0 that gets some blame for ruining there batteries with the high amp-charges and varietes in voltage that elevates quite a bit when pushing for those high +15watts.. if its thrue it undermine the battery, cant say, likely just promo from huawei around there quick charge should be less hurting,l.April 30, 2016 at 11:54 pm #35676
atm Im on Version 1511
and sofare this insider build seems to work okay, no blue-win10-restart-screens sofare..
you can check settings<system<about..April 30, 2016 at 11:42 pm #35675
Will be quite interesting to see it against the x2 pro scores..
so Chris please run these benhmarks when you get your hands on the x3, (_x2 scores).
will be interesting to see if the higher price makes sense.. as i recall an x2 pro with original keyboardcover an plus active stylus goes for 350US in China.(at least for 5 months ago on teclast homesite, but china only offer, and thats 45 less then what i paid 395* 8 months ago
the X2 pro is an great machine, and quite impressive score it performs for that money and perhaps to much..and i personally are very fund of teclast x-series edgy-design on there X1.X2.X3 but i do miss an feedback-vibra-motor in the x2, it gives some depth when writing on display or turning it on and so.
