I would simply not use Gearpest. I have ordered from them about 10 times and only twice has the order actually been sent. Takes about 1 month to arrive (to UK) unless you use DHL and pay about 20% extra tax. Banggood is SO much better in my experience. Fast dispatch, much quicker delivery, using airmail, and if Gearpest has a deal on, then it is very unlikely that you will ever get your product until all the other sellers have dropped their prices too. Gearpest just hold you money ransom until they can find your product themselves cheap enough to sell it to you at the advertised price but still so they can make a profit. Until that happens the product will be “temporary out of stock” or your order will “be processed” or any other lame excuse Gearpest will make up.
February 22, 2016 at 11:32 am #26718Well. I myself have had nothing but good experiences ordering from Bang… Gearpest however has been known to even loose your order and and simply tell the customer:
“Sorry, you should have added insurance to your order”
January 18, 2016 at 9:28 pm #22934Thanks Chris, I’ll give that a try
January 12, 2016 at 10:39 am #22012I also used Gearpest about 8 times in the past, all ok but the 9th time, I received my tablet looking like the dogs dinner. Box was all chewed up and inside you could clearly see that the tablet had been used, it had marks on it and the back screen protector was halfway peeled off. Also, my 10th order was never shipped as it was “out of stock” even though there were over 50 units in stock when I ordered it. I waited for 5 weeks, during that time Gearpest also had a sale with a special price on my item but still saying “out of stock” when I asked them. I cancelled the order, Gearpest said they would give me store credit (wallet) so I had to contact my bank as I paid with my VISA card to get the money refunded to my card. Banggood is much better!
BTW. I would be seriously upset if the courier would loose my order and the seller would not give a full refund! Again, contact your bank/card issuer and explain that you paid for goods/services that were never received.
No doubt Gearpest will claim the value of the lost item from the courier
January 3, 2016 at 4:23 pm #21093Jepp. I second that! Took me a week to get my refund instead of a store credit (wallet) and I had to contact my bank and ask them to cancel the VISA transaction. Banggood seems a whole lot better.
BTW. I gave Gearpest a bad review on Trustpilot but surprisingly enough, Trustpilot decided to ask me for proof of purchase (this has happened to me in the past and it was all good) I sent Truspilot everything, order# and the whole ticket conversation with Gearpest but Truspilot wrote me that it is “not what they need” to publish my review?! Seems like someone is in someones pocket….
December 27, 2015 at 8:51 pm #20107So. After cancelling my order with Gearpest (been waiting for a month) I did not hear anything from them for 3 days. So I contacted my bank and asked them to stop or claim the VISA transaction. Within 24h I got an appology from Gearpest saying that they will refund me my payment between 7-24 days
September 2, 2015 at 10:45 am #10753Does anyone know if Teclast are planning on releasing a cherry based 7.9″ tablet, like a X89 Pro or something?
Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask…
August 11, 2015 at 10:29 am #9350So, looks like I’ve managed to answer my own question, I had to delete the last (18th) partition, I also had to delete the 17th system partition, also the 16th MSR partition.
After that the windows installer finally allowed me to install a new fresh version of win10 onto the unallocated space.
