Personally, I would go with the Acer, on the virtue of having a proper warranty, and local support.

If you need to meet a lower price point, I would go for the Teclast X2 (because you mentioned you like the full-size USB port).

My only concern with the X2 or the Cube is the possibility you may be shipped a tablet without a legit copy of windows.  Microsoft doesnt offer free Windows licenses to devices over 10″, so alot of chinese companies deliver Windows 8 or 10 with a registration hack.

There’s no chance the Atom will outperform a broadwell Core M.

Your money would be better spent on a Core M.

Wait for the 11.11 sale, there’s an Aliexpress deal for a Cube i7 for $285

I’d sooner get the X89 for $145. Id pay $50 more for the 4:3 screen alone

Yes, an improved GPU is all I’m really after… and more RAM.

I’m considering the X98 Pro, but I’m currently waiting until the Asus T100HA comes out before I make a purchase.

The T100HA has USB type-C, a keyboard dock, much longer battery life, and a proper warranty.

But the X98 Pro has a far higher screen resolution, more ram and storage (compared to the entry level T100HA)

So if I delete all the partitions, and install a fresh copy of Windows 10, will I still be faced with the dual boot screen?

I don’t really care so much if it is still there, I am just curious about where exactly this bootloader resides?  On its own partition, or in the BIOS?

Thanks for the reply Chris.  I was going to order an X98 Air II based on your positive review on them.

I seem to recall in one of your videos that the X98 Air II screen is laminated, and has no air gap.  I saw another Youtube review of the X98 Air 3G model, and they were complaining about an air gap.

Does the 3G model have an air gap, or was this person mistaken?

Edit:  It seems I was mistaken, i re-read your review, both models have an air gap.  I think I was confusing it with the Cube i7, which apparently has no gap.
