Best ROM for M5C5 is ASOP which you cand find there: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24399994186369234

404 not found

Can’t find it!

The uploader/developer has deleted the file from the site. Please contact them to have them provide a new URL. Do not contact AFH as we do not manage these files.January 18, 2016 at 5:06 pm #22892Okay, thanks for taking a look (btw, your picture doesn’t really clarify anything… a pic of the main board or something would have made more sense to me, but if you say the points aren’t there, I take your word for it).
January 13, 2016 at 2:45 pm #22218Since you already have your tablet open, I’m wondering if there are solder tags for extra usb on the mainboard like the x98 pro has. Could you check? Thanks!
x98 pro usb mod is here: http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/add-a-full-size-usb-port-on-x98-pro/
January 12, 2016 at 6:21 pm #22075Does anyone know if there will also be a ‘native’ Android version of RemixOS 2.0? I mean real Lollipop/Marshmellow instead of the Android x86 base.
January 11, 2016 at 3:58 pm #21914You can already download it:

January 11, 2016 at 3:47 pm #21910That’s RemixOS 1.0. David is talking about RemixOS 2.0
January 11, 2016 at 3:44 pm #21908I’m interested as well. RemixOS looks very useful for doing some serious work.
December 30, 2015 at 10:05 pm #20624I’d probably make a backup of your tablet first. Then flash the dual os bios, delete all partitions and install Win 10 from usb stick.
For the necessary tools, look at EaseUS, Rufus, MiniTool Partition Wizard, etc.
December 30, 2015 at 9:58 pm #20620Well, not Mirek’s, since it has apparently camera issues and (for me) MS Word/Excel issues. That probably leaves Sikke1’s debloated rom as your best choice?
December 27, 2015 at 10:30 pm #20116So Michiel, I just rebooted, and now double-clicking a document file directly opens it in the appropriate application. When I was testing as per above, I did it immediately after installing the MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint apps. So the hiccup I mentioned was temporary, and after rebooting, it seems to have cleared up.
Excellent news! Thank you very much for testing this. Looks like this is the rom I need to flash. Maybe Mirek’s rom is missing some crucial component or something. Too bad, his flashing .bat is very easy to use.
December 27, 2015 at 12:04 am #20024I will check about MS Word/Excel on it, too, and let you know if the open/run successfully.
For those interested in sikke1’s debloated Air 3/III (M5C5) rom, you can find the posting about it at http://forum.xda-developers.com/x98-air/development/teclast-x98-air-iii-air-3g-debloated-t3266740.
Thanks! Much appreciated
December 26, 2015 at 10:39 am #19982As Mirek190 states in his xda post of the rom: Camera works on air 3g ( c5j5, c5j6 , c5j8, c8j6 ), air 2, 3 ( hg9n, hg9m )
That implies it doesn’t work (100%) on the M5C5…
Too bad, because I’m also having issues with the M5C5 and his rom: MS Word/Excel close within a second after starting them. 🙁

December 3, 2015 at 10:25 pm #17486Thanks! I just have a simple OTG USB hub which can’t charge the tablet, so I’m probably ok. Too bad your OTG USB hub fried your tablet though. I hope somehow that can be fixed.
November 30, 2015 at 10:38 pm #17141Massimo, can you give more information about the created .bin file? The reason is that I’d like to add my Windows 10 key to the bios, but the Air III I ordered is Android only, so there’s no Windows 10 key present in the bios. I have my own key I’d like to add. If I can create my own .bin file, I’d be able to flash it directly into the Air III 🙂
