That’s good to know. Thank you so much. I would like to ask you another question though. Temperatures  ? How are they ? Does it throttle at any point ? Did you try any games  ?

@max did you flash a new bios then installed windows ? did you install windows only ? If you did install windows only can you use the full 32gb as a whole, not 20gb + 10 gb(where android would go if it was installed)  as 2 partitions.

If anyone is looking for a cheap otg-charging solution

    http://www.banggood.com/Aluminium-Alloy-USB-3_1-Type-C-to-4-Ports-Hub-For-Macbook-Google-Chromebook-p-1028245.html

this product works for hi8 pro but it only feeds 0.5 Amps to tablet. And you can use it to feed power to external harddrives.

I can not do flashing the update of Android on Windows 10 x64. It is normal that?

Flashing program requires 32 bit windows 7 if i’m not mistaken.

I’m not sure if i post it in here but here it goes. My usb type-c cable was really bad https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjUYj96X4gk (connecting the tablet to a laptop was awful. it kept connecting and disconnecting all the time. ). So i asked my friend to help me with the cable. We opened it and the moment we opened it, 2 pads (the ones that do the communication) broke instantly. The ground one was almost gone too. I’m now waiting for my replacement cable from banggood.

Other than that something is wrong with the charging. While using windows tablet only gets half amps from the charger (i’m using one of the little multimeter things that go in between the cable and the charger ), on android it goes up to 1.5 amps(it was 1 amps before we checked the cable). While switching from android to windows, current drops from 1.5 to 0.5 during the chuwi logo. Anyone ever checked this ?

Do i need to look at the kernel version or build number. I’ve never had a problem with waking up from sleep and i didn’t flash the new ROM.

You have to look at the build number, if you’ve the same text your tablet is already flashed with the new firmware

Yours start with 05.05-2016, mine is 2 days earlier 03.05.2016. Anyways, tablet works nicely but my type-c cable is AWFUL. To connect to a pc i have to hold the cable at a certain angle or it connects and disconnects all the time. My charging times are really bad because of this as well.

I just received my Teclast X80 Pro – the gap between this model and Hi8 Pro is realy huge :

    • from the beginning X80 Pro coming with DualOs – Windows 10 and Android 5.1
    • Windows 10 is 64 bit from the beginning
    • no issue with earphone jack – simply working with all earphones normally without any background noise
    • no issue wth waking up from the sleep mode in Android
    • Sleep mode in Windows 10 is not draining battery
    • You can drain battery to 0% without any issues

Taking into cosnideration that screen resolution is the same and other parameters are similar (Teclast X80 Pro has microUSB) I really recommend any new buyers to consider Teclast X80 Pro – simply saying, the quality is much more higher and the price is still around 100 USD.

I think the sleep issue on android is fixed with the new rom.

Windows sleep power drain issue shouldn’t be a real issue. Windows options about wi-fi off while sleeping should fix it.

With 2 gb of ram, 64 bit is a bit overkill.

Battery dying early and static over headphone jack is  annoying. I’ll agree to that.

For the price both of them are selling for 80 dolars on banggood right now and i will recommend teclast too.
