Please, try what described in Madhlas’s post on March 11, 2018 at 12:18 pm in the forum “Teclast F6 Pro.” I’m sure the problem will be solved.
May 20, 2016 at 11:02 pm #38071Yes, Chris G, it seems that nothing has not changed on the screen of the new BIOS except for the build date and time as kuko61 shows but it works fine at least for the abrupt and random shut off. I have tested and seen all the behaviours throughout my Hi12 Dual OS started at over 70% battery level to safely shut down to hibernate at 2%. Infamous abrupt shut down did not happen. It has been the first time for me since my first day of using it without the abrupt and random shut down in low battery. In addition, I set the RAM speed at 1600 MHz.
The unit continued to run without any problems and shifted to the battery saving mode at the battery level 21% and the pop-up window appeared to show low battery level at 6%. The pop-up window appeared again at 4% to give me a warning that the unit needs the power supply to be connected immediately. And at the same time a small red mark in the battery icon in the task bar appeared and started to blink until it stopped blinking at 3%. At the battery level decreased to 2%, the unit automatically and safely performed the shut down process to power itself off.
Thanks Emily and Chuwi for this solution though we should take it for granted.
I would like to put some memos for all the owners of Hi12 Dual OS who are going to flash theirs with this new BIOS.
- Download the new BIOS file named “Lateset Dualboot Hi12 BIOS(remain KEY, solve wifi disconnet issue).rar.”
- Unrar it into a folder you like.
- Connect a USB stick drive to the USB 2.0 port of your Chuwi Hi12 Dual OS.
- Format the USB stick drive with FAT32. It may not be necessary but I named the USB stick drive as “winpe” just in case. I think the “create bootable” option is of no concern. I formatted it with the built-in format function of Windows10.
- Copy all the contents inside the unrared folder to the root of the USB stick drive. Please be careful not to copy the unrared folder itself.
- Reboot your HI12 Dual OS. Press F7 key several times when you see “CHUWI” something on the screen.
- Select to boot with your USB stick drive. Flashing starts automatically and you can see variety of messages passing away on the screen which include erasing, writing and verifying the data.
- In my unit, the flashing finished when the screen showed a command prompt as if it wait for some commands to be typed in since I waited for a minute if something happens. It seemed that nothing would not happen. Therefore, I typed in “exit” into the command line and the unit reboot to Windows10 after showing the logo “CHUWI” a few times on the screen as I set my Hi12 Dual OS not to show OS select screen and directly boot into the OS used last time.
I cannot certify you the result but it worked perfect as far as I was concerned.
May 18, 2016 at 12:45 am #37772I am afraid to say but my unit repeats abrupt and random shut off regardless of having been set the ram speed at the factory default. The abrupt shut off seems to occur somewhere in the range 20-30% when the unit has been started using from the battery level above 50%. I have performed a few cycle of 1-hour charging (until the battery level exceeds 30%) and booting after the occurrence of the first abrupt shut off at 23%. The results show that the abrupt shut off still occurred on my unit but the battery levels at which the shut off occurred were below 20% almost around 15%. The program running on Windows10 each time was the only YouTube video playing on the Firefox browser. Although it may depend each single unit.
May 4, 2016 at 5:54 am #36001The situation is seemed to be somewhat chaotic. I cannot distinguish which stylus pen is the HiPen H1. While the HiPen H1 previously introduced by Emily is said to be an active stylus pen, the stylus pen on Banggood is explained as “battery-free” but at the same time it has a feature of “pressure sensitivity.” On the other hand, Tinydeal lists the stylus pen entitled as HiPen H1 on their web-site http://www.tinydeal.com/hipen-h1-active-stylus-pen-for-12-chuwi-hi12-tablet-pc-p-159127.html and explains it is a third party product, NOT made by Chuwi Corp.
By the way, I have tested my CEP02-AS (an active stylus pen made for Cube iWork10 Flagship, this is the same one as listed on Geekbuying http://www.geekbuying.com/item/Original-Cube-CEP02-Active-Stylus-Pen-for-Cube-iWork10-Flagship-Tablet—Black-364168.html and not the one as listed on GearBest http://www.gearbest.com/tablet-accessories/pp_314890.html ) on iWork10 Flagship and Hi10 Dual OS having the serial number “..03XXXX” using Microsoft’s Fresh Paint running on Windows10. The pen works on both tablets including the pressure sensitive function. But I feel the pressure sensitive functionality is weaker on Hi12 Dual OS though I am not an expert of using stylus pens. The pen is usable for the desktop operations in both the tablets, too.
For more information, when an AAAA cell battery is not loaded inside the pen, my CEP02-AS does not work on iWork10 Flagship nor Hi12 Dual OS.
April 11, 2016 at 10:14 am #33020I think you don’t have to worry about it. The reason is seemed to be similar with what explained, for example, here http://www.redmondpie.com/windows-10-product-key-and-activation-how-to-find-it-and-how-it-works/ or Cube doesn’t use the Product key procedure for iWork10 Flagship, namely, the key is directly linked to or embedded in the hardware itself. Indeed, I have successfully clean installed Windows10 Pro using my MCT configured USB drive and the resultant clean-installed Windows10 Pro has been verified and activated without typing a product key. To my surprise, however, the BIOS of this machine is seemed to be locked and the users are not able to alter any one of the meaningful parameters.
EDIT: “BIOS of this machine is seemed to be locked and the users are not able to alter any one of the meaningful parameters” when the original keyboard dock is connected. When a USB keyboard is connected, all the parameters in BIOS are available to be altered.

Thank you for your worthful reviews!
April 7, 2016 at 12:19 am #32334Are there any possibilities that the 2nd Dual OS model is truly an equivalent to the 3rd new version? This is because
- BG’s in stock date of the Dual OS model is very near to the announcement on the Chuwi Weibo that the Dual OS Hi12 with stylus support has been just released.
- Although they say that BG sent a shipping notification of the Dual OS model to their customers, it seems that actual deliveries have not been initiated yet.
- Howe come the manufacturer and the seller can sell such a half-hearted device after implying a new model employing Dual OS and Stylus support with a promotional video and just a few days before its release date of the complete new version. If this is the case, it is too contemptuous, dishonest and fraudulent for all of us to understand.
April 5, 2016 at 11:29 am #32098Thank you for your comment, Laura. My DHL tracking information has been just updated to show “Shipment picked up.” So, mine is seemed to be actually on the way.
I am convinced yours has also been picked up by DHL.
April 5, 2016 at 8:12 am #32068Have your tracking information been updated?
Although I have also informed with a specific photo that mine had been shipped on April 2, 2016 with the expedited shipping via DHL, the DHL tracking information of mine has not been updated since then, which shows only “Shipment information received” on “Saturday, April 02, 2016.” According to my previous experience with GB, the DHL tracking information had been updated one after another once the ordered item had been picked up by DHL and the item was delivered in almost 3 days from the pick up date. In that case, I think the tracking information started with the event “picked up” by DHL.
I wonder if mine has not been even picked up by DHL yet.
