I was away last night, on the drive home this morning I had 3 emails from DHL and a package waiting for me.

It came 3 days earlier than the scheduled date!

Only just been able to try it out, and so far I’m impressed. It’s my first tablet like this, I’ve just used Android ones before.

It powers my Seagate 1TB USB 3 drive no problem and see fast, bit I’m not sure what speeds to expect to know if it’s working properly.

Screen is brilliant, build is top notch, and now I’m ordering the stylus!

Funny thing is that if use their app, it says the item will be sent in 3-5 days, and if use the web browser it says it will be sent in 10-15 days

ok i’m pissed. the tablet came and seems in good working order, however it is model number i15-TL (should have been i15-t or i15-td) which made me suspicious. the installed windows is 10 pro, almost certainly cracked with a product key that is all Bs (BBBBB-BBBBB-BBBBB-BBBBB)

gonna investigate further and if it’s pirated i will open a paypal dispute since i don’t want to shell out $100 for a genuine windows license.

i smell gearbest has something to do with this

What’s the difference in model number?

i suspect the -TL version comes without a windows key, basically, it’s cheaper. in the bios there is no MSDM table so no original keys are stored in there.

I think you don’t have to worry about it. The reason is seemed to be similar with what explained, for example, here  http://www.redmondpie.com/windows-10-product-key-and-activation-how-to-find-it-and-how-it-works/ or Cube doesn’t use the Product key procedure for iWork10 Flagship, namely, the key is directly linked to or embedded in the hardware itself. Indeed, I have successfully clean installed Windows10 Pro using my MCT configured USB drive and the resultant clean-installed Windows10 Pro has been verified and activated without typing a product key. To my surprise, however, the BIOS of this machine is seemed to be locked and the users are not able to alter any one of the meaningful parameters.

also, when i open up internet explorer the homepage is set to http://www.chuwi.com… and also the embedded wifi doesn’t connect… i strongly suspect somebody put a cracked rom from another tablet on this one

Wow the OneWorldExpress-Tracking really sucks.

Look at the lack of information on the picture. That´s not normal at all …

22.mar – I ordered iWork10
2.april (~11 days) –  I received foto image of package and tracking number (PostNL) – but this number was untrackable
8.april – tracking changed to: The item is pre-advised
12.april – tracking changed to: The item is at the PostNL sorting center

hmm. thats look like there is real package on the way
.. altough still in China (based on Laura post) there is a possibility of delivery within week (or two)
maybe time to order keyboard ?

Mine looks like this, i wonder why it is going via Brussels (maybe because it is Belgium post registered). I hope that it won’t be seized by the customs here in Slovakia as it says it has already been cleared in customs in brussels which is also in Schengen :/

I’m also worried that i’ll get the tablet with the fake Windows like Laura.

I thought customs are always done in a destination country. Maybe they only did some preliminary checks or something.

 

btw. it really sucks if cube is now selling this TL version without legal system. Gearbest on it’s site dedicated to cube i10 flagship clearly states “original windows 10 – preinstalled system”

It seems that GearBest staff didn’t lie about 15th April when this tablet should be available in stock. Just now I received message that my package is prepared. Few last devices from first GB Intel Sale (21-23 March) will be delivered at last.

has anybody ordered via regular shipping? not DHL ?

it seems that i cannot track the package since it has arrived in Brussels. The YunTrack tracking number is incorrect format to check it by my local post office. And there has been no change in status for like a week in tracking records.

the tracking # may have changed when it got to your country… it happened a few years ago in italy too, but your postal company should be able to tell you the new number

Same here – no news since it entered the country (status: Was processed in the destination country). Reading around that’s pretty normal though for Netherlands Express to here: the national postal service put their own tracking number on it and don’t link back to the old one.
