Since this topic has been dead for a long time, I suppose that everyone as given up on the idea of hosting and charging at the same time.

These are mutually exclusive – it is one or the other. No homegrown cable or hub modifications are effective.

Yes, this works in both Windows 10 and Android.

Yes, all you need is an OTG cable.

I have a 1TB HD, USB GPS,  Easycap, trackball, and keyboard attached to mine using a powered hub.

The file X98_Plus_II_TWRP_root_v1.2.rar seems to be corrupted. I can download it fine, but it won’t extract.

File will be available for 48 hours

    can i repair it?

    The LCD can be replaced.

The problem would be in finding a replacement.

The LCD is supposed to be the same as an iPad – so maybe your local iPad repair shop may have something that works.

Thank you. So that would be the “bottom” side if holding it in portrait mode, where the headphone jack is? Sorry for super late reply…

Start prying at the end opposite the jacks.

i am sorry to say that i have purchased Teclast x98 plus II last year, from the date of purchase also i am facing so many problems, when i contacted the manufacturer, they replies that they are not having any service and also they stated that they are not having any spare parts regarding their company products. my sincere advice to all who intend to purchase Teclast products, please don’t purchase any products from the Teclast.

While I agree that Teclast support is pretty much non-existent, your issues were mostly of your own doing.

Once you used Kingo to root your tablet, you were on your own

For other readers of this forum, you will find many many posts from this member about the many attempts to root and install various alternative OS.

I am sympathetic but once you have messed with the OEM’s firmware, you are on your own – regardless of who made the product you aren’t going to get support.

The Teclast X98 Plus II issues have not gone away.

You’d be better off with the Chuwi

Pry it open starting at the end opposite the white plastic piece. I use hard guitar picks. They have a nice sharp edge and you can open a tablet without creating any marks that show it has ever been opened.

Do you have a USB hub plugged in?

That will slowly drain the tablet even when it is off.

I do not understand much of electronics, I upload a couple of images of the batteries of the tablet. From one of the batteries only 1 cable comes out, can someone tell me if this is correct?

The cells connect to the charger pcb with the flat silver-coloured tabs.

I’m pretty sure I see the top cell connections, but your pictures aren’t clear enough for me to identify the bottom cell connections.
