There’s a lot on this site about updating the firmware you have to do this before you can use Google Play services. You should read all the posts before you throw your tablet away. I forgot how to update but my mine was the same way. It is unfortunate that they sell stuff like this to people who maybe aren’t technologically advanced or even care and just want something they can use right out of the box. Don’t give up just yet.

Mine is the same as George. The time and date stamp and the kernel version are the same. Maybe you should try the Banggood version one more time.

I understand the frustration I have wasted a lot of time fixing something that should never have been a problem in the first place. Onda and Banggood had to be aware of this and should have offered the updated ROM as an option to foreign countries that can use Google services. I have bought a couple of other phones from China and they did not have this problem.

Sorry I don’t have a clue either the mic. and speakers both work on mine. I would try as George says wipe it and reinstall. I used this flash tool https://androidmtk.com/smart-phone-flash-tool.

Yep, I have no Phoenix and Google updates automatically. Figure a way to get it and it’s all yours. I will send everything I got and then your on your own, like I said it worked for me.

I don’t mind sharing if someone can figure a way I will gladly send it to them. I think the file at needrom is similar if you want to try that. Get back to me with any ideas regarding obtaining this file it is 1.93 GB.

Hi, Banggood sent me the update file. I had a very difficult time finding and loading the USB drivers but I finally got the tablet updated. The date of the file was 9/07/2017. This update does not include Phoenix. All the Google products work now. I like the tablet but having to do so much work to get it functional is very irritating.

Don’t give up it is worth the effort. Good luck
