My trackpad stopped working, I think it was an update.  It worked fine before, the keyboard keys work fine.  I am going to boot linux and test.

Great idea, I’m going to look for a tablet/laptop skin now.  A lot less work then painting etc.

Just wanted to update, that after getting a type-c charger, the problem went away.

Looks like a nice case.  Is there anyway, or has anyone, tried to make their own type cover?  I love my mix plus but with the keyboard it is really heavy.  I was thinking of removing the metal weights inside and using a DIY keyboard type cover.

I placed an order from Banggood on 5/5/17 and as of 5/16/17 according to the USPS website, the order is still in ‘Pre-shipment’.  Is this normal?  Order is bound for the east coast of the USA.

I specifically want the 10in tablet version so I can use it with an Ipega-9023 telescopic controller.  It just becomes one giant gaming handheld.  Emulators, pc games, its all there.

Thanks for that real world information.  I thought Chris said he only got 4hrs, seems to be what is listed under the specifications.  Where did you order from?  I’m either going to get it from gearbest or banggood as they are paypal verified.  Granted I’m trying to solve a problem I don’t even know if I have yes (since I haven’t personally tested battery life).

Well from the videos the cube mix is a 10 pin connector and the asus transformer battery is an 8 pin.  I think it can still work though, because I watched a video of a guy with a 3 pin to 2 pin conversion.  Considering the price of the mix plus, I think it’s worth a gamble to see how well the battery is.  Can always sell on ebay.  It’s hard to justify spending 629US on the equivalent Samsung hardware.  Maybe a battery forum of XDA forum can shed some more light on this issue?

You have a very good point there, Amit.  That is the biggest problem with my Chuwi hi8 pro 4hr battery life… and this is an Atom.  I guess they use cheap Chinese lipo batteries in these tablets.  If they would just spend a little more for a Panasonic or LG.  You could potential mod a better battery into the Cube Mix Plus.  I’ll have to watch a tear down video.

For that price you can buy 2 cube mix plus’s without keyboards or stylus.  629 is a blatant rip off.  Not even an SSD and is shitty EMMC

Yeah my first china tablet was the chuwi hi8 pro.  Bought it off ebay since I figured at least that way, someone had already tested that everything worked.  SD card slot stopped working within 90 days, just says SD card is blank.  I get around 3.5hrs of battery life – which is pathetic.  My kindle fire 7 gets over 7 hours.  Tablet also gets really hot around the CPU while charging; I have no idea why this happens.

Very interested in the Cube Mix Plus, but once bitten, twice shy.  The Surface Pro 4 has been on sale recently for 550, at least with that, I’m guaranteed 7-9hrs of battery life.  What attracts me most to the Mix Plus is the size.. it will fit inside of an Ipega 9023 for handheld gaming.
