I have a solution for your problem. You buy a type-c OTG adaptor and a mini usb cable. Use type c port as it can power your speaker. My external 1tb hdds can draw power through type c port
March 25, 2017 at 4:22 am #63959usb OTG works via usb-c as well as via microusb socket but you cannot charge via microusb. Charging and data transfer via usb-c simultaneously not possible.
March 3, 2017 at 2:04 am #62943I’m using hibook pro for the last 3 months. Here are the pros and cons
Pros.
- The amazing screen. The screen quality alone is sufficient to buy the tablet.
- usb type c. It works at usb 2 speed but does fast charging at 3a 5v. I’ve used the stock charger as well as Aukey one and both works fine.
- Genuine windows 10
- Good touch response
Cons.
- Software glitch in windows anniversary update. The microsd formatted in fat32 wont recognise in windows. So if you boot to android and switch back to windows your card simply wont show up in windows. There is no solution. As I’m using windows as primary, I formatted 128gb sandisk microsd in exfat and I’m using it in windows only. Android wont recognise my card.
- Annoying trackpad gestures and sometimes trackpad freezes/ docked in- docked out.
- It’s not a power house so don’t expect good gaming performance in both the os.
February 19, 2017 at 8:14 am #62451Hi I’ve faced same issue. I used to switch off the tablet, connect the charger and after getting the red led indicator switch on the tablet. If you connect the charger without switching off the tablet, it won’t charge but in windows it will show ” plugged in,charging”. Also only the stock charging cable fits perfectly with the type c port as its dampened little bit. I’ve tried third party cables but those fit loosely although they can charge the tablet.
February 19, 2017 at 8:07 am #62450I’m using a WD elements 1TB HDD and I’m using a <$2 local usb type c to usb adapter.
February 19, 2017 at 8:02 am #62449I also have the same problem. The problem starts if you boots to android and switch back. I tried all tricks like changing drive letter, using different microsd cards etc but everything failed. I also enabled ms custom sd driver in bios. Inbuilt trouble soother in windows 10 will fix your problem after 2-3 restart but you have to stick to windows. I think it is a problem of Microsoft because after updating to windows 10 anniversary edition, the problem surfaced.
