Just to confirm it is the case I put the tablet back in the case and over a few days the flickering came back. Took it out the case again and after a few days the flickering went away. Interestingly I can leave it in the case with the cover folded back and the flickering doesn’t come back so It must be something to do with the magnet.

To reiterate i’m using the official Mi pad 2 case.

I had the flickering screen on the right hand side and was using the official magnetic cover.

I tried taking taking the cover off but still had flickering, i left it off for a couple of days and the flickering has gone!

My device manager shows USB controllers as Intel (R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller – 1.0 (Microsoft)

Shouldn’t this mean its USB 3?

Hi, i have the same issue as you with the volume going up and down but I noticed it also happens when watching films MP4 saved to the hard drive.

Have you got any further with sorting it?

Figured out the camera issue!

It seems Hangouts (in Chrome and Explorer) and the QR scanner app don’t work with the tablet rotated! Rotate the tablet so the left side (when viewed with USB-C port is at the bottom) is at the bottom and the camera is correct but rotate it the other way and the app rotates but the image gets flipped and upside down so think that’s a bug?

The windows camera app works in every rotation angle.

That’s a shame it won’t output MHL.

You should be able to connect wirelessly to a monitor/TV via a miracast/chromecast dongle. I have an Mi pad windows  on order and this is what I plan to do. I already have chromecast so simples.
