Yes, I’ve seen that there is a lot of problems with ezbook 3 and ssd’s. Wish I’ve noticed them earlier.
I know, that switching to another ssd might be the solution but if I can, I would like to stay with this one. Besides it has worked! But then gone and it’s not seen any more.
Can I make ubuntu work on ezbook? If it’s drivers thing, maybe linux will do better?F7 does not work. It brings only boot menu. Disk is not seen there.
April 20, 2017 at 6:11 am #65722Thanks! This is it. After BIOS update, everything looks fine – GPU power draw, voltages and CPU runs at full speed.
April 18, 2017 at 7:05 pm #65602Hi, mine is at 0.0w (GT Core), <0.1w (IA cores), <0.1w (DRAM) while idle but 1.9w Uncore (estimated). Afiak Uncore is everything else but core (L3 Cache, Memory Controller, PCI Express controller) These Parts cant be at 0w @idle otherwise the system would be off. I am using CoreTemp 1.6
What Intel HD Graphics drivers do You use?
April 18, 2017 at 3:24 pm #65586@ Chris – Did You check Your power usage? How does it look like?
I’ve read this post and another one about low geekbench score (https://techtablets.com/forum/topic/low-geekbench-score/) and went to check my lapbook. I found out, that my geekbench is also low (~1100 single core) and power draw is high (GTCores in CoreTemp ~3W when idle). What’s more, CPU under stress almost never go more than 1,5GHz and when idle (800MHz) it has pretty high voltage (1.07V).
So I uninstall Intel HD Graphics and left Windows on generic graphics driver. It fixed everything. Geekbench is now more than 1400 points, CPU easily go for 2.1GHz and power draw is lower – GTCores shows 0.1W when idle nad CPU voltage on idle went down to 0.860V.
But now, I cannot put my lapbook to sleep and cannot control brightness…
February 1, 2017 at 7:46 pm #61407Have a look here:
You’ll find a complete drivers dump for ezbook 2 plus the solution for audio.
December 26, 2016 at 8:46 pm #59295Thanks Ruben. Unfortunately it didn’t work. All drivers are fine except Realtek I2S audio driver, which I actually need… It says ‘the driver is not intended for this platform’.
But I’ve just found the soultion. I’ve read somewhere, that downloading audio driver from lenovo atom tablets, fix the problem. And it really did! I’ve used driver from lenovo Miix 310-10ICR and my sound is back!
December 22, 2016 at 9:05 am #59077Can You post them somewhere anyway? I’d like to try them on my ezbook.
December 21, 2016 at 7:03 pm #59042December 21, 2016 at 1:17 pm #59030Hello everybody!
I’ve recently got an ezbook 2 new version (from gearbest). There is different keyboard (no home, end etc. on the right side, half size up and down arrows), hdmi out, USB 3 are on the left side and card reader and USB 2 are on the right. Does anyone own similar version?
If yes, can I ask for a drivers dump? Some drivers are different and I have difficulties finding the right driver for audio (realtek i2s audio codec). Any help would be appreciated.
