As long as you have it open, my first suggestion is:
1. Disconnect/desolder the battery from the motherboard.
2. Test and see if the battery is charged.
3. If it is not charged, charge it using a 5v source.
4. Reconnect to motherboard and try powering it up again. Note: Do this even if you found battery to be fully charged.
If that does not work, you can try flashing the BIOS externallySeptember 25, 2015 at 12:03 pm #11903I’m on Mirek’s V5 and I am only getting 1 android bootanimation. It runs from whenever it starts until just before the lock screen displays.
September 25, 2015 at 12:50 am #11888Yes, it’s a known issue with Chrome and Windows 10 that is worse the less RAM you have
September 24, 2015 at 9:43 pm #11885Awesome, thanks!
UPDATE:
This is kinda interesting. So normally when you boot to android you will see an ‘android logo’ then it’s disappears then few sec later shows up again, and it’s up til the system fully boots. After the xposed install, i lost the “second android logo”, the screen is total black til the OS starts. The first time i kinda freaked out.
I never noticed that on mine. It may only happen on the first boot after installing the framework.
What Android ROM are you running ?
is Xposed Framework working on your tablet now ?
September 23, 2015 at 5:30 pm #11843Per,
Your issue is not uncommon. It almost always happens to tablets whose model ends in J6–like C8J6 or C9J6
and we have a boot image that usually fixes the issue.
Unfortunately, the boot image only works on Android 4.4.
If you are currently running Android 4.4, like any Teclast stock image or one or Mirek’s 4.4 images, follow the tutorial I posted later in this message and it will probably fix the issue for you.
If you are running an Android 5 image, my advice is to flash a 4.4 image, then follow the tutorialTutorial with kernel installer dedicated to your issue here:
BTW, it is possible we might find or make a boot image that fixes this issue under Android 5 at some point.
Please post the results (Good or Bad), if you use this tutorial.
I like to keep count of the % of cases where this boot image fixes the problem so I can give users like you approximate odds that it will fix their touchscreen. So far this boot image is fixing the issue about 85%-90% of the timeSeptember 23, 2015 at 4:40 am #11804Just got me a Rapoo E6300 Bluetooth keyboard. Works very nice in Android, but I’m having problems with Windows 10.
After pairing (which has me type a code on the keyboard) the keyboard shows as Connected for a few seconds in Windows under Manage Bluetooth devices, and then goes back to Paired. No matter what I try, that’s the end of the line.
I can remove the device and repeat the process, but it’s just the same procedure over and over. Anyone successfully used a BT keyboard with the X98 and Windows 10?
The Windows 10 installation is the one it was shipped with; not installed by me. I guess it’s Teclast standard Windows 10 installation, if Banggood didn’t upgrade their stock of Windows 8 X98 tablets themselves.
Yes, I have successfully paired and used many bluetooth devices on my X98 in Windows 10, including:
2 keyboards
a mouse
A gamepad
A multimedia headset (microphone and headphones)September 23, 2015 at 4:18 am #11803Go ahead and extract the Windows 8.1 OEM key from your BIOS and save it somewhere, just in case, but you will probably never have any need for it.
Once you have Activated a Windows 10 free upgrade, Microsoft records enough information about your device, that it will automatically activate on a subsequent clean install of Windows 10 on the same system. Your Windows 8.1 software key is no longer needed.
Just install using the 32 bit Windows 10 image provided by the Microsoft media creation tool.
When it asks for your software key, select skip. It may ask twice. Then, once Windows is connected to the internet, it will automatically activateSeptember 22, 2015 at 2:00 pm #11769tomtom,
Yes, the best BIOS for a C8J6 is 2.02.
I should know, I have a C8J6.
The c8J6 is one of the few models that is completely compatible with 2.02 under all OSes.
All cameras work in Android and Windows as does GPS and mobile data..Here are instructions on upgrading, including the 2.02 image:
September 18, 2015 at 6:36 pm #11628Mats is correct, Windows will definitely be wiped as you MUST use the repartition option.
You can then re-install Windows without affecting the existing Android installation.
There is no way to flash Android w/o affecting Windows in your case, since there are no pre-existing Android partitionsSeptember 8, 2015 at 12:55 am #11103FYI, this ROM should get rid of the thermal event popups as well
September 8, 2015 at 12:13 am #11102Yes, you selected the correct option. Enjoy

Try downloading this file:https://drive.google.com/uc?id=0B8BF9-TGlz-FV2RmTTc4MHVmYUk&export=download
It is a .7z archive, use 7zip to extract it to a folder on your PC.
7zip is freeware, available here:http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
Once you have extracted the archive, flash it using these instructions:
September 7, 2015 at 11:16 am #11058While the X98 and the Zenpad share the same CPU, they have completely different GPUs.
The X98 has an Intel GPU, while the Zenpad and Zenphone 2 have a Power VR GPU.
This means Zenpad/phone images are not compatible with the X98,, unfortunately.September 4, 2015 at 5:22 am #10882Yes you can modify the partition.tbl file.
Your partitions can be recreated and populated using MFT as long as your BIOS is still booting. You need to boot the tablet into DnX mode by holding POW, VOL+ and VOL– until you see DnX mode displayed in small letters in the center of the screenAugust 25, 2015 at 4:43 pm #10360Massimo,
It’s not like I haven’t tried running the program before, but I found it completely confusing and far from intuitive. I would click a button and get a chinese message. I had no idea if I had gotten an error, extracted a key or injected one. also I could never find any files that might have been an extracted key. I tried to find something in English that adequately described how to use it, but I found only instructions similar to yours, where they already assumed I had a productkey or had a single step. Bottom line is, if I knew Chinese, you could have 1 step telling me to extract the product key and I could do it easily.
But unfortunately I do not -
