Haha, nice one!
October 1, 2020 at 3:01 pm #184032No news yet from linda parts. The last is that they said this might take up to the middle of December to be produced. So still waiting.
I installed “Sharpkeys” to disable problematic key but somehow the laptop now hangs every after 2 hours of operation or so if I have something connected to the usb ports. So something heats up inside while the ghost touch is supressed in combination with the usb ports. I have it now with nothing attached to see how long it will last. So even sharpkeys is not a great solution.
So far the October-December 2019 batch of the F15 has a problematic keyboard. If someone else with a keyboard problem please state if they are within the same batch. Thanks
September 28, 2020 at 4:46 am #184018but have you thought the problem in the same period for everyone?
Mine bought in December 2019 from Banggood and keyboard broke down in late August 2020. But with use of 2-3 months.
I would like to know when everybody in here started having problems if they bought it near Dec.2019 maybe that batch was problematic
September 28, 2020 at 4:43 am #184017Oh, it’s out of stock… and I didn’t order one yet.
Don’t worry, lindaparts emailed me and said that there are delays from teclast, but it will become available within a month probably. They offered my money back and wait more, but I refused and said I wanted to wait. Will let you know when they send it.
September 25, 2020 at 8:45 am #184008I have the same problem with Key “1”. Solution?
Read the thread. Order new keyboard from the store above and wait for 2-3 months. Meanwhile use sharpkeys to disable faulty button.
September 20, 2020 at 4:09 pm #183977I never changed a keyboard before, is that a trivial thing to do? I mean no soldering, and such things?
Actually it is a bit tricky thing to do in the F15. After opening the case (screws also under bottom rubber pads) you need to unscrew the flat battery and underneath the battery is the keyboard. However the keyboard is not screwed onto the chassis, it is held by melted plastic pins so you have to break them if you want to remove it.
After you place the new one you need to have a soldering iron to melt a bit the plastic pins to keep it in place. I haven’t performed this action yet, because I have no new keyboard, it shouldn’t be very hard but you need to be careful so that the new keyboard is held in place properly. If you can’t do it give it to a professional.
September 19, 2020 at 1:10 pm #183970Finally! A light in the horizon…
The above link no longer works. Here is the correct one:

September 19, 2020 at 8:39 am #183966I think the keyboard problem with the F15 is becoming a trend. And Teclast is not answering on any email address. I am avoiding to call in China. I think they are probably aware of the problem but they couldn’t care less. Customer service is non existent.
I contacted Linda from cdrtd and she said the supplier does not have this part. She offered to contact me when it is available though (if ever). The part is non existent in the internet and even Banggood did not have an answer from Teclast.
So we are stuck right now with a useless and unrepairable laptop, which is a real shame since the F15 was advertised over the internet as last years best quality laptop and most expensive as well from Intel’s Gemini Lake bunch. It’s also a shame that we can find spare parts for the F7, F7 plus and F6 and not the F15.
We must somehow make this heard to teclast so that they produce at least the keyboard as a spare part. I have sent several emails but with no answer. Obviously noone is looking at them, as there is no real customer service. Does anyone have any clue who could we contact?
September 17, 2020 at 7:34 am #183961My results for heat are not conclusive. If I leave it overnight then it works ok for an hour and then the problem starts. But if I leave it off for 2-3 hours then the problem is still there. It has happened also in the morning after leaving it off for 8 hours so heat “could” be a problem.
I think that excess heat created the problem in the first place due to poor keyboard electronics quality (because the f15 backlit keyboard is of good quality). In any case I have contacted Linda from cdrtd and waiting for an answer.
Many thanks to sportnok and tintwotin for the tips
September 16, 2020 at 5:38 am #183953So far Banggod has some kind of automated replies and they just keep repeating the same phrase:
“We are sorry that the supplier don’t provide a replacement keyboard, would you accept to receive a refund xx and you can keep the item?”
I have sent them like 12-13 emails and in most of them is the same phrase. I have requested even them to contact teclast but they keep repeating the above. The xx has been from 65 to 80 euros. Nothing near the 280€ Ι bought the laptop. So nothing up to now. No keyboard, no answer from teclast, no real communication with Banggood. I’m never getting a laptop from them ever again.
September 14, 2020 at 3:07 pm #183939same problem here with the Teclast F15 laptop suddenly typing spaces on its own constantly. it blocks all functions of the laptop accept a forced shutdown holding the power key. it also occurs in BIOS scrolling the options automatically of whichever menu I access. second fault with this machine in only 5 months, the first being the power jack shorting out internally.
If you open the laptop let us know the part number written on the keyboard cable. Maybe if we have 2 or 3 orders teclast will hear us
September 12, 2020 at 7:02 pm #183924So they offered me to return the laptop to them but it will take several months to repair. I have to cover the cost to get to China myself and they will cover the return cost to me by 50%. It’s a no go for me since it will take ages and I need to work.
I took the laptop to a repair shop and I’m trying to find the keyboard as a spare part with the code “KY347-1 US K762 VER:A1 K3259”. I have contacted teclast they will not respond.
If anybody has a clue where to get this please help.
Thanks
September 7, 2020 at 7:04 am #183909So I contacted Banggood, they told me to take it to a laptop service point. Completely illogical response since the first thing they will try to fix is the keyboard.
So I requested for a replacement keyboard and they replied they can’t find the spare part. They offered to give me 60€ for a useless laptop.
So that’s what happens when you get a chinese laptop and something goes wrong. No spare parts, no service. Great. I will not leave it at that, I just wanted you to know my adventure.
September 3, 2020 at 5:41 pm #183890Hello Emilio,
I have bought the laptop from banggood. I wrote to them about my problem. We will see how it goes.
Where did you find the firmware for teclast f15? I want to try it also
Thanks
Vas
August 15, 2018 at 7:48 am #145559No I haven’t asked the dealer yet (gearbest). Also when making the connection I should get some kind of response. I press the Fn key + F7, win10 presents the display configuration but whether I select Dual display or Extended, nothing happens. It’s like either the win10 driver does not handle the microHDMI port at all or there is something wrong in the hardware.
I could not find an answer to the links provided by duckduckgo, you see I googled my problem first but nothing fitting exactly to the problem.
