Are we talking about the Z8300 processor here or later versions? My old one is still running quite well, by the way.
March 5, 2016 at 1:13 am #28056thanks!
February 21, 2016 at 10:44 am #26606Yo Chris! Where’s the Cube i6 forum? I really, really like the tablet (Remix). After trying the iwork8u and the Chuwi hi10 I so much prefer this as it’s much easier to read and navigate and battery life has been outstanding (3 days using it in the restaurant for 11 hour shifts of Spotify and googling and still at 58%).
February 21, 2016 at 10:38 am #26604hi all, not sure anyone here facing the issue that tablet no response, press power button nothing happen, charge it only have red light and screen nothing to display. my tablet facing this problem and i have facing difficulty to send back for warranty. is there any way can DIY and solve the problem? or the issue that i facing is hardware failure? I use the tablet about 30min then face this problem …:(
Did you try another charger? I’ve used a 2.4 A charger since I got it as the one sent with it only partly charged it and was quite fragile. Then no problems. Good luck.
February 7, 2016 at 2:02 am #25220OH, gonna try this: BubbleUPnP for DLNA
install a DLNA server on android device to play back protected material.
Windows comes with that and that is why you can play it there but problems when boot to android.
Gonna try it myself in a moment.February 7, 2016 at 1:57 am #25219Wow, I thought you mentioned that problem with Google movies in September. Still haven’t got it working… Is Play Store on your device? If not get over to XDA and solve that. Okay, just tried it on my i6 Remix and some stuff plays and others don’t; but it seems like a really common problem because all the answers say to download it and try playing from there. Probably because it’s not DNLA or whatever you call the media protected stuff. Hmmm.. wonder if there is a program to mimic that to tell Google you have the right hardware so they think you can’t pirate the material? Probably.
Also, I could not find where to set preference for where to store offline (downloaded) files. They are encrypted to protect copyright and in cache storage. Did you “contact Shana, our Google Play Movies expert”?So trailers and others unprotected stuff works directly while purchased things must be downloaded. No doubt this is the hardware specs about pirating.
February 7, 2016 at 1:02 am #25218McCafee says it can do this stuff below – did you notice any activity?
Android/Agent.AP conducts various malicious activities like the following:
- Send SMS messages to premium phone number
- Send device information like IMEI, network operator name, device model, etc., to remote server
- Download other malicious APKs and requests users to install them
- Contains other malicious APKs in it
- Request Device Administrator privilege to make its uninstallation difficult
- Accesses various 3rd party Advertizing URLs in background to make revenue
February 7, 2016 at 12:53 am #25217Thanks for that information if I ever do it. I got the Remix i6 and I don’t think I want to mess with anything because it’s wonderful.
February 7, 2016 at 12:51 am #25216But it does have a Windows home key at the top, just not the one on the bottom front. Also, when ordering, you are allowed to ask them to set it up in your language. Mine came all English except for a few strange settings like recognizing handwriting. And your critique of the sound is sorta lame; like you’d expect a little Windows tablet to be all wonderful boombox sound. Get real. Even the HTC phones with Beats don’t do that.
February 7, 2016 at 12:41 am #25214Not sure what you mean by that. I’ve tried reinserting and rebooted, reformatted on another PC. Android sees it. I can also use a smaller 16GB card in Windows just fine, just not the bigger 128GB, which worked fine before I flashed the dual boot 64bit version. Pretty sure it’s a driver issue but don’t have any other driver files to try.
Sorry Paul, accidentally quoted you there. But to answer what I meant responding to you, they said they just had to take it out BEFORE booting to Windows and then insert it for SD card to be recognized. I use a 64Gb card on Windows only iwork8u (but hoping to change to Remix! it’s soooo good on the Cube i6).

Daniele, Very good for watching movies. But I think too small by itself to be productive in photoshop (by itself, meaning you could plug in a larger monitor, keyboard and mouse ). The windows buttons are just so small that I’d get frustrated doing any real productivity on it alone. I’m actually just looking to change mine over to Remix (android) when it’s possible. Then use Google docs and Picasa for dealing with documents and images in a much more friendly environment.
February 3, 2016 at 3:04 am #24812Paul, I’ve seen that comment around tablets many times; seems that it usually works if you take out the card and re-insert it when changing to Windows. No personal experience, by the way, merely repeating what I’ve seen around the web.
January 27, 2016 at 8:06 am #23937Managed to install Dual Boot, updated bios, installed Android, installed Win 10. Everything installed OK, the only problem I Have is The Dual boot update, updates Windows 10 To the 64 bit Home Edition, before it was Windows 10 32 bit Pro Edition! So of course it wont activate! Brightness is working 100% in both android and windows
Graham, did you not take an image of the Windows Pro before changing system? If you did would it be possible to reinstall after?
Any problem using KMSpico on this, to activate?January 27, 2016 at 7:59 am #23936Nice one thanks was having real issues downloading the file from cubes website
i give up Image type X64 is not supported by this IA32 shell thanks
Does that mean that the files in the Downloads section, Cube Iwork8 Ultimate Dual Boot Files (8.6 GiB), don’t work?
January 14, 2016 at 6:12 am #22288Anyone else get the update to Windows 10 PRO? My tablet just restarted itself and said it was upgrading and I thought, “Oh no, hope it doesn’t kill it!” But no worries, all went well, took about maybe 20 minutes and updated. I can’t swear to anything but it seems better.
Also, changed resolution to 600 x 960 (that’s the way it says it) through the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel (hit advanced in Display settings the go to adapter properties, then the control panel). It’s slightly better, Chrome browser is possible to use now (the buttons are so small and there’s no way to change them – looked online for hours, tried many suggestions, played with the chrome://flags settings (material is better) and no luck), but really didn’t change it much. Weird. That’s like half the pixels and not much changed. Must be something going on. But it’s slightly more usable to us with bigger fingers.
Oh, and I’ve never been a Microsoft widgets fan but getting there. Edge is good, so is their News reader, and overall just losing some of the disdain I’ve felt for Microsoft products. Thanks, Chris, for talking me into a Win10 tablet.
