I think there’s a big compatibility problem between USB type-c chargers/power banks/hubs and the USB type-c connector on some of these Chinese devices. Last year I bought a Teclast F6 pro and it will only work with one USB type-c hub bought in China, while another five of different makers will not work. A replacement unit of this laptop was…[Read more]

Thanks for your answer.
The restart can happened anytime, with or without the charger plugged.
By the way, my battery doesn’t hold 6 hours of use, it’s more between 3 and 4 hours. Ok, I often play online game and I watch TV by internet every evening, but I have to plus the charger 2 or 3 times a day.
Yes, I didn’t found a better SSD so far…[Read more]

There is video on YouTube in spanish where someone is charging the Y13 form a Powerbank, and one more YouTube telling he is in deed powering his Y13 from a Xiaomi charger, but gave no details.
I do have a SamsungUSB C charger for my wireless charger that delivers 12v 2.1A as max, I tried it and it does not work either. Unplugging it even rebooted…[Read more]

I’m not sure this solves the problem, but I think the charger you use should actually support 12V over Power delivery. Generally the cable that is used should be USB-C to USB-C. If the port on your charger is USB-A (like with most Samsung chargers) or anything else except USB-C you can assume it does not support power delivery.
Also the 12V power…[Read more]

Hi. Sometimes my computer also restarts to BIOS, but mostly just when the battery is fully discharged. It also resets the boot order priority, when it selects another EFI boot entry, but I can just change that and it works.
Btw, I have the same SSD, I think it is the best we can buy now for our laptop.

I have the same problem with my Y13. That’s annoying, because USB-C charging was a reason to buy that thing!

Hello.
I have bought a second hand mi notebook pro with a installed French windows version. Laptop is really good but I can confirm battery endurance is rather short.
I have a windows pro licence on it, so I’d like to give a try to your method to install a factory image of chinese windows which is supposed to increase battery life.
Could you…[Read more]

Hi Folks,
got my BMAX 13 yesterday, nice little fellow, only thing I’m looking for to buy is a glass screen protector, investigating now which on the market ones would fit the best 🙂
But I have one question to other owners, especially on the BMAX 13.3 – USB-C power delivery, and charge, is the USB-C charging working for anyone? The original…[Read more]

Daniel replied to the topic Hi10 Air bricked after changing BIOS settings – how to reset? in the forum Chuwi Hi10 Discussion 6 years, 9 months ago
Yes, tried all of the web advises, power button hold, Ecs, volume button etc. nothing works, usually intel BIOS if screwed up, it freezes during boot, or has artifacts, but becoming totally bricked is really strange. I might need to look for someone who has experience with flashing BIOS, might be cheaper to sending it back, but to be honest I’m…[Read more]

Flashing the BIOS is not what I really want to do, if I screw up it totally kills the warranty, ok if there even is any… I wrote to Chuwi and will wait for the response, ordering the reprogrammer is my last resort 🙂

I had to send mine back to CHUWI. They charged $45 and wiped everything from the tablet.
Your best bet would be to get a CH341A reprogrammer (cheap on ebay), download the BIOS from CHUWI’s website, open up the tablet and reflash it.

Man I’m in the same situation, got it for my son, saw the RAM was running just at 1066, put it to Auto and increased VRAM, as I usually do on all intel devices, and shit its bricked, and wont boot, wrote to CHUWI will see if they respond
