Now I’m confused because the Chuwi HiBook tablet is listed as a flash sale for $145.69 (I got a flash sale on the 11th for $179.89) and it now says they have 159 pieces left, shipping on May 15th (tomorrow). When I bought mine on the 11th it said 81 pieces left and I think shipping said May 12-15. I hope they simply got a large order in after I bought mine. If they say how many are in stock, they must have them IN STOCK! Or do they always say that as an impulse-buy tactic? Now I wish I could get this price, $34.20 less! :/ Their price guarantee is 72 hours, but doesn’t count for “flash sales”.

The keyboard remains to be shipped, but their store page says “ships on May 16”. Hopefully it comes soon, but I care more about the tablet. Now I just hope the tablet comes in one piece!
I find it odd that the email says my tracking number works via “Netherlands Post Registered” and should normally take 10-25 business days to arrive!! Two to five weeks for expedited shipping?!

They did the same thing to me, I ordered a pair of Kindow tablets with expedited shipping and insurance but they claim to have sent it 10-25 day via Netherlands Post Registered and provided a tracking number that doesn’t even work. I opened a ticket with them and they confirmed that they shipped it slowest method possible, but the tracking number is invalid. I’ll never buy from Gearbest again.

How long did it actually take to get your order, and where do you live? I’m trying to figure out when to expect it.
I’m in Florida but I haven’t gotten it yet, and the tracking number doesn’t work so I don’t even know if they’ve really shipped it. I ordered on the 11th, express with a promised 5-7 day delivery but it went out NL post 10-25 day. From what I’ve been told in my conversations with Gearbest today even though I ordered with Express shipping, they don’t have to honor that since it was free due to the purchase price. I’m strongly considering reporting it to Paypal, I will if it doesn’t arrive next week.

But I’ll probably think twice before opting for free shipping again.

According to Gearbest, they decided to ship it NL Post Registered even though they offered better shipping for free because I “didn’t pay for it”, duh, it was offered free. I would have paid for it if it wasn’t. Maybe it’s a bug since standard shipping is more, but the last time I had a high dollar order it was also offered free and they shipped it express for free.

According to their shipping page, this is what I can expect from NLPOST1.

So, 25-50 days to receive an order that I needed by tomorrow and asked to be delivered no later than…tomorrow. That’s why I am reporting it, classic bait and switch.

So you thought you can order something on gearbest and receive it within one week?
If so, AHAHHAHAHAHAHA :DDD Sorry but I think noone who ever bought something on gearbest received it within 8 business days or less.
It´s a chinese warehouse!! You can´t expect western values, such as Two-day delivery. It was shipped “free” express as well, that’s why I made the assumption this would be too, poorly I suppose.
Ordered March 8th.

Delivered March 11th.
May 17, 2016 at 7:24 pm #37734Wow, you make a really good case, NB. The 4-7 business days estimate for Expedited shipping shouldn’t be changed after the purchase by them to 25-50 business days! It’s like they sweetened the deal to make the sale, then took your money and said “just kidding”. They really should be reported on ResellerRatings.com.

They explained that it causes problems with customs and tariffs if they ship more-expensive items via express. I acknowledged their reason, but explained how their checkout system needs to be changed so the customers know ahead of time and don’t feel cheated, lied to, resentful and dissatisfied with their experience. I told them that we should be given the choice to pay an extra fee to cover tariffs if that’s what has to be done, or for the cart to restrict Express delivery method for certain items. In other words, as long as they are up-front with the customer, the customer will be happy.
The representative who wrote back said that they know they need to improve the process and she would pass my feedback to the company. She also gave me a 5% coupon. I just hope I could help push them towards improving.
I’m also pretty happy that a representative responded to me three different times as I continued to press them on it. I figured they would quit talking to me after one generic response.

June 1, 2016 at 7:10 am #39446I placed my order for an X98 Pro, OTG charging hub and screen protector on 5-31-16. I got the initial run around that multiple others have posted about on 6-1-16 asking me to verify my details with photos of personal information. I double checked paypal and my account wasn’t in the verified state. A quick couple minutes and it was verified. The transaction was listed as complete so i filed a ticket asking paypal to verify the status which to no surprise was complete. Replied to gearbest telling them that my paypal account was now in a verified state and to recheck it (don’t know if they can or not but threw it out there) also stated that i opened a ticket with paypal to verify the state of the transaction and that it was complete and they had been credited for it already. I just got a reply back saying
“Dear Spencer,
Thanks for your reply.
We will arrange the shipment in the following two days and send the order to the address you requested, and give you the tracking NO. with update.
Please check your account for more details.Once again,thank you for your cooperation and understanding,and please accept our apology for any delay and misunderstanding.

”Update #1 (6-1-16): Tracking number good, package is waiting to be picked up in singapore, figured it would be coming from china but as long as its picked up and gets here in one piece (and working) i’m good!
Update #2 (6-3-16): Package picked up from 9 airport rd in singapore ~12:30am local time to me. Now we will see if the shipping time i paid for is close to reality.
Update #3 (6-3-16): Just got the DHL update that my package should be delivered by end of day on 6-6-16. If it arrives as expected and is in working the whole process only took 7 days which will be WAY better than i expected.
Update #4 (7-6-16): Package is arriving today via DHL. will post picture of condition and contents once i get it. Should have X98, USB-OTG Charger and a Screen Protector
Final Update: (6-6-16): tablet, OTG charger/hub and screen protector arrived today and everything seems to be in working order. Running some tests with the stock software and will post results in the X98 thread
June 2, 2016 at 4:21 am #39563Guess I’m lucky, I got my chuwi hi8 pro after one week of shipping from Gearbest (china warehouse + expedited shipping + insurrance). Their CS is fine but I don’t like how they just copy paste the answers (some are long and too much unneccesary info).
