Hi guys, I have to buy a new cheap pc. Now I have a 3 pro which is good for my use but I had to change it (broken case cause car crash) and I would like to know from you if is still a best buying or I should lookk for something else (like the x4). ATM my budget is around 300€ and I almost surf the web, watch movies in streaming and play emulated android games (lineage II).

    Hi, glad that all worked.

Keep in mind that boot sequence, with usb as first place, reset when you unplug any usb key and reboot pc.
Try hitting f7 during boot sequence with usb inserted and choose from the menu’.

About your request of distro here https://drive.google.com/open?id=1q0JypRwgiU6ZG2tXe6N5SMyuLb5HSvW6 you can find a respin linux mint and the torrent file to download it. There is also a simple guide to install almost any other linux distro.

OH, atm there is no new bios but you  can unlock your following a guide in a pinned thread in this forum

Hi, try opening the backflip of your ezbook and be sure to discharge all static electricity than:

    1. unplug battery, wait for some seconds (maybe 30/60) than plug it in again and reboot.
    2. if this doesn’t work: unplug battery; unplug SSD; retry booting and access to bios

REALLY IMPORTANT: be sure to discharge static electricity before doing everything

    Nice job @chupa

Now why don’t you find a way to boot from SD Card (<span id=”result_box” class=”short_text” lang=”en”><span class=””>completely disinterested request</span></span> ghghgh)

Give a try at the file in gdrive/torrent i liked some post before.

As written it is a mint 18.3 version that works for sure (is the one I have on my pc) and than we will try to understand your problem

    Yep.

And unfortunatelly it seems to be already enabled 🙁

Try to look for PCI slots and check their status. For next few days I’ll not be able to check on my laptop so I can’t be sure on the path (if it exists – maybe I was drunk and saw PCI but in fact it was something else)

Have you checked the pci/emmc settings in bios?

If I’m not wrong you can disable from it and the effect should be what you see in the screen

Sure that is possibile. You just need to respin the distro you need (as I know) and than create a bootable usb with one of the tools you named (ususally I use the inbuild sw of linux). The only limitation came from isorespin script that do not accept some distro (pe kali)

UHM – is there a pictured guide for a blody beginner who never done any linux at all, because this all sounds Chinese to me. I mean there are so many apollo lakes out there with people running some linux distro (see that word I know) ,with just minor differences in maybe the trac pad or the wifi modul. Isn´t there a simple usb dump what is simple to install for simple minded people like little ol´me?

    Hi @Chupa

The first distro to try is Linux Mint. Very similar to windows but with all linux feature.

Other things to know is difference between drive naming (I mean C: D: etc in win that become something like sda sdb sdb1 etc in  linux).

Than what grub (or other bootloader) is.

Known that you can try installing your distros (not all are working atm. I’m trying to manage kali now) 😀

On ezbook 3 you need to follow some easy steps greatly described in the guide from @baxtex in this post #75601

Does it unlock pendrive boot option as well?

It was enabled since the beginning but now I would like to try to install a linux distro on SD card and boot from it.

I’m aware of all the limitation that this involve but …it’s a kind of challenge 🙂
