Hi Patrick,

If you get the x98 pro and you worry about heat, there is simple solution to the issue, the thermal mod tutorial provided by Chris. I haven’t modded mine and I don’t experience any heat issues – I don’t game on the tablet though. For everyday tasks you indent doing it should work too. I intend to mod mine when I receive the thermal pads, reason because I want to try lightroom and see if I can do some editing on the fly with this tablet.

How to get into BIOS settings, for Norbert.

1 Go to Settings (little wheel on the task bar).  2 choose updates and security. 3 choose recovery. 4 choose advanced startup then restart now. 5 choose troubleshoot 6 choose advanced options 7 choose UEFI settings 8 choose restart. 9 tab will reboot into BIOS.

Thank you for the suggestion to update driver. After loading the driver, the sound improved several hundred percent.

I spoke too soon [see above] – was welcomed with the dreaded BIOS eMMC missing,  just earlier. I guess a BIOS flash is now inevitable. What  malarkey.

From my side, I’ve had the tab for a week and no issues whatsoever – yet. I’ll resolve if and when I come into them tho. I was going to update the BIOS, but now I’m too scared incase it causes problems experienced by other users.

I requested and got a refund and thereafter ordered from Banggood – paid 208 USD with the 10% discount, and best of all, Shipped in one day. Then ordered the leather folding cover from Banggood, shipped in one day. All in all, Banggood service seems way better than Gearbest.
