So now they have names “Spectre & Meltdown” … which is what’s happening with Intel stock at the moment.

     Intel News Release – 4 JAN 2018

    Intel – Impact on Performance – 4 JAN 2018

when Intel, Apple, Google, Amazon & Microsoft come out in unison saying there will be no noticeable impact on performance after patching these flaws, it sounds like damage limitation to me, only time will tell. In the meantime I still love my Jumper, it’s performing like a champ

It’s a serious security issue . I would expect to see updates & patches being pushed out by Intel,   see below …

If Gearbest refuse a refund or exchange I would open a dispute through Paypal or your Bank. The notebook you received is faulty. Keep a record of all your correspondence including any images. You have 180 days.

Gearbest 45 Day Money Back Guarantee

only saw the results posted by users in the other thread, there are a couple of SSD’s hitting 450 writes, to be honest the transcend feels quick enough for the stuff I do, so it’s a keeper. I’m loving this Jumper notebook.

disable power limit option isn’t present in my BIOS (Release Date: 09/30/2017) but the .EXE file from joe321 is working well, thanks.

Hi Iva, this is my transcend M.2. I thought I would be getting the 460 MB/s write speeds advertised.

Then I find this review, and it’s only 160 MB/s writes. I will keep the Transcend, but there are faster SSD’s for the same money.

What we need is a database of SSD’s that work well in the Jumper, the good, the bad, and the ugly.

… it seems like 160 MB/s writes is the best you can get out of a Transcend M.2 2280 128GB SATA SSD

Installed a 128 GB Transcend m.2 (22 x 80) by holding the end down with electrical tape, the cover went back on with no problems, but I couldn’t screw down that little expansion slot door, so just taped that down too. Cloned the eMMC drive using  Macrium with no problems,  but then found that Windows 10 wouldn’t allow me to expand the Transcend volume to it’s full 128 GB capacity, I had to download a 3rd party tool  to accomplish that. (free mini tool partition wizard). These are my final speed test results – (Sandisk eMMC vs Transcend m.2 SSD). I’m a little disappointed with the write speeds of the Transcend M.2, it’s supposed to be around 460 MB/s.  Is there anything I can tweak in BIOS for faster writes, I don’t want to go mucking around blind in the BIOS. Any advice appreciated. Cheers!

I hate Windows 10 with a passion, I’m wondering if I can wipe it and use Windows 7 instead. I have the installation Disc, has anyone tried it ?

“Generally, the average processing time is between 1-3 business days. However, this depends on the item’s stock availability.”

Bottom line is you have to wait for Gearbest to recieve stock from the Jumper factory, it’s a popular laptop, demand is high, as soon as Gearbest recieve stock they are shipped out in the correct order. You could open a chat with Gearbest, maybe they can give you an eta but I doubt it.
