This might be the link, but I have not tried it. Please note that the English text says “E2E9” instead of “E3E9”. This might just be a typo.

If the download is getting interrupted, maybe a download manager will help? Chrome browser will sometimes work for restarting a download that fails a lot.
July 8, 2017 at 8:37 pm #68937Another poster here, G F, recently went through this and they posted a link about backing up Windows drivers using the DISM command.
I ran this on my x80Pro (E3E9) and it created 33 subfolders, which still didn’t seem so bad. Unfortunately there were 600+ files all together and it was 1GB in size. I compressed it down and it’s still 400+MB in size. Just a quick eyeball scan through the folders didn’t find any giant files so I’m not sure what’s going on.
Are you able to run that same DISM command? Maybe that would narrow down which drivers you need. Also, maybe someone can jump in and help identify a better way to do this, or somewhere they are already posted online.
The subfolders have names like, “netrtwlans.inf_amd64_eaee2bf4b0d2f66d”, if that helps describe it.
July 7, 2017 at 4:59 am #68829Looking at the picture you uploaded, I’d say that partition 3 is the Android partition and partition 4 is the Previous Windows 10 partition.
From reading Bunny’s post up above, it looks like you’d delete those in step 3.
Here’s a couple of other links that might help.

July 5, 2017 at 8:09 pm #68769Thank you for the link, G F. I’m reading through it now. That article is a good resource.
It would be nice to have a post that was sticky that would walk people through backing up their tablet when they get it and how to image it periodically to save their setups.
July 5, 2017 at 8:01 pm #68768Oh no. Can the place you bought it from send you a replacement? I don’t know if you will have success with doing that, but it might be worth a try.
If they won’t, then maybe open the back and see if the connector can be re-seated. I hope it doesn’t come to that, but if you decide to do that, could you take some pictures of the internals and post them, for the rest of us? X80 Pro needs some hardware mods done on it to improve wifi and maybe even put in a bigger battery and separate charging port. That could help someone decide to do that.
Anyway, sorry to hear that, I hope you can get a replacement unit.
July 5, 2017 at 5:07 am #68747Can you boot to Android ok? There is an OTA update that you can apply from the Android side. I don’t know if it will help, but I applied it to my E3E9 X80Pro when I got it and had no problems.
I know Chris has some firmware, but for this model, I have offered before, but asked that someone explain how I can do this without giving away my account information. I am not opposed to resetting my tablet to wipe it, but I don’t want to do that just to waste the time from not knowing how to back it up so that the files can be used.
Anyway, sorry you are having problems.
July 2, 2017 at 2:58 am #68669I have this model, and it has both Android and Windows Stock partitions and they are both working. Can you help with explaining how I can get you the files you need without giving away my personal data or information? I don’t have a lot installed on it, but I don’t want to upload my account information.
Have you tried contacting Teclast? I’d be glad to help, if I can, but I’m still learning on how to back up a tablet and don’t have my own backed up, at this point.
July 1, 2017 at 9:07 pm #68666For people that are shopping for a small inexpensive tablet, I have the x80pro, also just a recent purchase. After having it a month or so and just kind of fumbling around with it, I think I would generally agree with Joe. If you haven’t pulled the trigger on your order yet, strongly consider moving on.
I don’t think it’s a total flop, but I can confirm the issue that Joe has with poor wifi. It’s not a “lottery” issue, but I think it is a design flaw. Along those lines, I’m finding my tablet only really useful when it’s plugged in and if I take it somewhere, it really needs to be fully charged to become portable.
I don’t know. I think I got a good value on $80USD worth of tablet, but I think there are some problems with this class of tablet that I didn’t consider. So you can add a USB battery pack type portable charger and a car charger to give you more time plugged in. For this model, the x80 Pro, it doesn’t come with a USB charger, just the cable. So if you are like me, you won’t have a good match for charging it. I have a couple cell phone chargers, but they provide less than an amp of charging, so it makes the problem even more exaggerated. I think this can be fixed, but it is one more diversion you will need to go on. I haven’t properly tested it myself yet, but I think it supports a 2A charger. So I can probably buy one pretty inexpensively, or maybe even just go to a cell phone store and ask if they have a box full of them and get one for free. But if I’m going to do that, I’m going to want a OTG + Charging Y cable as well. For me, it just quickly throws the balance off on this tablet for the work to set it up vs what was saved. After a month, I’m still trying to sort out what I can fit on the tablet’s limited storage to maximize it’s usefulness.
I’ll make the best of it, and on the plus side, because I am a light user it still may work out for me, but I’m really questioning the value of it. I think dual boot is a good idea, but after having to go back to Android 5.1 and also running out of space on both sides, it’s pretty clear that you need more than 32GB for it to work.
If I had to buy over again, I look more at 64GB, confirmed 4+ hours run time unplugged, what cables are included (I bought a micro HDMI cable for the tablet and if someone offered that and OTG + Charging Y cable, it would be much better than the OTG -or- Charging that you have to choose between with the two cables that are included.), and something in the 10″ screen size category. I think even if I can address all the issues of this tablet (x80 Pro) for less than the cost of a good 64GB 10″ dual boot, it’s hard to see how I will have a better tablet or have saved money. I’m not so disappointed that I’m going to sell it and start over, but I think I will come out as a fail for this tablet meeting my purpose of use.
Joe, on my tablet, it gets warm, but not so hot it’s uncomfortable to touch when using it. That might be a tablet “lottery” issue for build quality. If I’m not enthusiastic about sourcing all the odds and ends I think are needed for this tablet, I’m even less enthusiastic about opening it up and redoing the heat sink. With the results Chris gets when he uses a copper shim and better heat sink compound, that might be something to consider for the x80Pro but unless you want to mod it and it’s fun, I would consider your time, the cost of materials, and the risk of breaking or damaging the tablet. If it was getting hot to the point it was uncomfortable to the touch, I’d consider doing that, or lapping the heat sink, which I’ve done before on desktop PCs and have all the grades of wet/dry sandpaper for already. Having a trued up, flat heatsink with a mirror finish and artic silver (vs stock compound) has given a measurable improvement for desktop heatsinks, so it seems like it would work for the tablet as well. My disclaimer is that I haven’t opened it up so I can’t confirm this would apply, but I wanted to throw the idea out there for you to consider. I found a video of someone taking the back off, and in the last 10seconds or so, it shows you the internals of the tablet. If you watch the first 6 minutes without fast forwarding, you have more patience than me, but basically it shows someone working around the tablet popping loose the plastic tabs. Rather than break one of the tabs off, I’m sticking with not messing with it for now.

Here’s a video of someone’s “fix” to the wifi… using an external usb wifi adapter. Really, really not my solution. If you have that hanging off the port, for me, eventually you will hit it on something and loosen and damage the port.
Hang in there, and I hope that as you get your tablet set up, it will get more sorted out to your liking.
PS. Sorry for the excess spacing in the post, I just left one line, but it made big gaps. I’m not sure how to clean it up without bunching everything together.
June 3, 2017 at 11:43 pm #67760Hi! I just received my x80 Pro from GearBest as well, like yours, it is E3E9. I booted to Android and ran the OTA update. I don’t know if that will help you, but it is sort of a generic thing to try, if you haven’t already.
I also have extremely poor wifi reception. I’m still setting up apps on the Android side, and space permitting, I will install a wifi analyzer. My non-number metric is that, inside both my phone and the x80 Pro connect without issue. If I go out to the patio, the phone is fine, but the tablet can’t even detect the network.
This forum is such a great resource. I will post more as I get the tablet set up and work through the issues. So far, I’m not having issues with sound, but this is just on the Android side. I’ve booted up Windows, but I’m expecting it will be more work to get set up, so, for me, one at a time.
Overall, I like the tablet and think Teclast did a good job putting together an inexpensive tablet. I also ordered the case at the same time and they both arrived from China to the US in about 21 days. May must be a good time of the year to order.
Take care, and I hope you get your tablet issues resolved.

May 22, 2017 at 3:36 am #67308Interesting but as you pointed out Android uses it so you are already there, right? You could just delete the windows partition and give the space to Android. There seem to be a few threads on how to to do that.
I’ll probably look at at rooting if I can be confident that I can recover the tablet as stock.
Maybe if you can find a Cherry Trail unit of some kind you can try out whatever drivers you need to get it going. It’s not a project that interests me, but it would be nice to see you have some success with it, if you decide to spend the time on it.
May 11, 2017 at 2:20 am #66770This was a thread about a sale price. When I get the tablet, I have no plans to install Linux. Maybe you can start a new thread and explain why someone would want to do that. Hopefully you can have a sense of humor about it, but isn’t Linux the operating system of the future…and always will be! hahaha.
