There is no OTA update available from Teclast.
Updates need to be loaded using the Intel flash tool.
Download your firmware updates at:
http://www.teclast.com/en/firmware/
The 3 dots issue sounds like a hardware problem since you have it in both OS
January 30, 2017 at 12:32 pm #61227Regardless of the number of complaints about Teclast product quality, support, and the forum members calling for Chris G to remove his recommendation of the X98 Plus II, that is just not going to happen.
This forum needs the ‘traffic’ generated by the posting of complaints/issues (and some resolutions) in order to keep it alive and generate revenue for Chris.
Reversing the recommendation would impact the credibility of all the current and future product reviews – so Chris will either pretend he hasn’t seen these postings or defend his recommendation.

You must be logged in to view attached files.January 17, 2017 at 1:38 am #60541Did you pull out the ribbon cable from its connector or just look to see if it was properly seated?
January 17, 2017 at 1:22 am #60539FINALLY I FOUND MY TAB PROBLEM, I CAME TO KNOW THE WINDOWS OS GONE. I HAVE INSTALLED THE DESKTOP VERSION IN MY TAB IT IS WORKING FINE WITH MOUSE. NOW I TRIED TO DOWNLOAD THE TECLAST VERSION FROM GOOGLE DRIVE IT IS NOT DOWNLOADING IT IS STOPPED WORKING BEFORE 100%, IS THERE ANY REMEDY. IS IT POSSIBLE TO RUN DESKTOP WINDOWS VERSION IN MY TABLET WITH TOUCH
If you already had Win10 working with a mouse, then you should be able to get the touchscreen working with the proper driver.
Look in this site’s Downloads page for the X98 Plus II zip.
This package probably contains the driver you need.
January 16, 2017 at 4:16 pm #60511Linda, sorry that the result of opening your tablet is that it may now be bricked.
When I responded to your post, I only saw the first line of your post (seriously – the rest was not showing) otherwise I would not have advised to open it up.
You say it isn’t powering up now. Do you think the plastic button assembly for ON/OFF and Vol up/dn is inserted properly?
January 16, 2017 at 12:50 pm #60501Problem: Touch is off on half of the touch screen and it has rendered the tablet unusable.
It is not likely a software issue.
Open it up and check if the flat cable from the digitizer is properly inserted.
You could try to remove/re-insert into the connector.
Be careful with how you open and close the connector latch – they are pretty easily broken.
January 13, 2017 at 11:36 pm #60402Maybe there is a communication issue.
Can you find the adb.exe file?
If so, you need to launch adb commands from within the directory that contains the adb.exe file.
January 13, 2017 at 10:31 pm #60398Adb is not recognized as an internal or external command, program or executable batch file. Before thank you I have been answered with this speed. Many thanks.
So it is likely because you installed ADB in some other directory – maybe in c:\wondows\system32\adb??
January 13, 2017 at 7:58 pm #60380Are you opening a command prompt (as admin) and then navigating to the directory where you have the adb and fastboot commands and the files you want to use before issuing any adb command?
What is your error message?
January 13, 2017 at 12:28 am #60333I agree. The Teclast company provides no support, no warranty, no updates, no usable website.
I think Chris of TechTablets should stop reviewing your products so that no more unsuspecting readers are tempted to buy Teclast products.
This site should blacklist your company.
January 11, 2017 at 1:24 am #60247A way to reinstall only OTA application which has never worked ( !) I saw a new Android version for this device available but I would like to know before going deeper if this would improve the wi-fi sensitivity which is a pain (I am obliged to us
My model is C2D6 THE 64GB version. I have no problem with wifi. My android version is 5.1.1 and i downloaded it from Teclast’s site. With the preinstalled android version i didn’t have also the Teclast’s OTA update application. But after flashing the latest rom from teclast’s site i have again the OTA Update application. You should try and flash the new rom as it may fix your wifi problem. In the worst situation your wifi will have the same results as now. So try it. I am a very very happy user. My only complaint is that Mmy tablet is not supporting wired OTG controller to play games. At least didn’t recognized my xbox360 controller. Maybe it supports bluetooth connection controllers?Anyone tried it?
I don’t have an xbox360 controller to try but I haven’t found any USB device that won’t work with the C2D4. Using a powered hub, I have a 1TB HD, GPS, Easycap UVC device, Logitech kybd/mouse receiver dongle, and GSM dongle all working together fine.
January 9, 2017 at 1:39 pm #60158Glad you got it all working soulfunkdj. Thanks for the feedback about the flash option that needs to be used when changing the Android partition size. I’ll add that to my notes.
January 8, 2017 at 6:53 pm #60103I didn’t have a problem with errors using fastboot.
I used Minimal ADB and Fastboot.
January 7, 2017 at 4:36 pm #60051Please you haven’t answered my first question. On Phone Flash Tool on configuration what i must check? Recover or Update??? I will use the rom from official teclast and yours gpt.bin file.
Choose ‘Update’
