My Jumper 3S is now 10 months old and so far holds at 9.8% lost battery capacity from last months. After doing all the work to install 2 different fans etc. installed 5mm spacers between all bottom lid screws to try a different kind of ventilation system and made a Swiss cheese first with over 100 3mm holes to get the ventilation going than with 20 to 30mm holes here are my findings: The darn fan mode does not work as expected. I have a hot air exhaust out of 7 – 3mm holes what is strong enough to bow out a flame. So cool air gets sucked from the bottom blows only over the copper cooler and picks up enough heat to make the exhaust air over 10ºC warmer than the surrounding air. But the processor temperature does not sink even 1 degree. The bottom gets cooler, the air gets warmer but the processor stays the same. This makes no sense for me. So I ripped everything out again, got myself a 1mm thick slim slotted aluminum sheet to cover all the holes, gotta keep the bugs out and my fingers from accidently touching some parts of the exposed motherboard. Then I cut off a breakfast plate what has a cork bottom, used some velcro stickers for easy connection and disconnection. They have tha same position as on the cooling pad with the big fan. The first test was good but still not optimal, so I disconnected the back velcro pads and did a foam extension, also with velcro stickers. I have now a 3mm front gap and good 10mm rear air gap. It can stay on the bed and the bottom is still very well ventilated, also the connection is so sturdy that I need a knife between the pads to separate the velcro. With all the modification I added good 200 gram to the Jumper but it is now no problem to have it in a 30ºC environment on my uncovered knees. While tinkering around I discovered that the screen backlit what sits at the bottom of the screen lid can get quite warm and if the Jumper front sits on the stomach the warm bottom lit touches the knees and creates discomfort. This is why I mounted the plate standing over in the back. No matter how crazy the angle is, nothing warm of the Jumper is touching me. So my Jumper is now ready for 3 climate scenarios. Cool 18-22ºC – no bottom plate, the rubber feat extend the soft part of the velcro stickers Warm 24-28ºC – bottom plate Ay Caliente over 30ºC – cooling plate with switchable big fan h1 the 5mm spacer and the longer screws needed to connect top and bottom h2 I went medival on my Jumpers bottom h3 1 copper shimmy between the processor and the copper plate, 4 shimmies between the copper and the aluminum plate and 4 shimmies on top of the aluminum plate for pressure from the bottom plate – all 0.5mm and with thermo paste h4 the bottom with 3 velcro stickers in place, one needs repositioning h5 thermo bottom plate mounted side view, you see where the old fan switch was and what I did to the case to get the sd card in and out without using my fingernails h6 Jumper front view h7 10mm extension bumper for the rear h8 bottom view h9a Jumper with bottom plate h9b Jumper with cooling plate
You are crazy! I like your style to do things. I bought a Lenovo i5-7200u so I decided to replace the 3pro instead I liked to make some new mod regarding thermal.
September 29, 2018 at 3:27 pm #147245There is no indication about where the cells are made, though. Also they are 4,8mm thick. Will they leave enough room for the batteries to “breathe”?
Yes, no problem about that. You choose between batteries I posted before.
September 29, 2018 at 11:47 am #147241What about this? It has Korean cells but I am not sure if the size would fit. [F062] 3.85V,3.8V,3.7V 6000mAh [3688116] Polymer lithium ion / Li-ion battery for tablet pc,cell phone,POWER BANK;mobile https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/bHH5dWPP
No,it will not. The just alternative to the previous one I linked is this: [L547] 3.7V,6000mAH,[4810677] PLIB;Polymer lithium ion / Li-ion battery for tablet pc,cell phone,POWER BANK
https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/bmN4GtZfSeptember 29, 2018 at 9:29 am #147236Right now I think this is the best battery you can get <span>https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/L463-3-7V-8100mAH-4812080-PLIB-polymer-lithium-ion-battery-for-tablet-pc-power-bank/200272_32800900225.html?spm=2114.12010612/itm2home-1.8148356.12.5f70d8aaQk9gJe</span>
This is the battery I advise you to buy!
September 18, 2018 at 3:13 pm #147004After my unseccesful battery change still can not reach more than 1.5 hour, I believe this is due to the battery quality or maybe because of the additional board ont he battery maybe later one i will try without those boards. Today i found new batteries which is a bit longer for the place where each is 12.5cm but it seems that it will fit without the battery panel. Those batteries are 7200 mah. I will inform you the result after replacement. previous ones were 5000 mah but it was 10×8 cm.
Don’t look for declared Mah, 99% is fake. Look for weight and cell quality (best are from Japan).
September 16, 2018 at 11:54 am #146947I found best result with Chrome beta comparing to Edge and btw you can block ads with Edge 😉
September 13, 2018 at 5:59 pm #146851Thanks, euplio. After reading your post, I have replaced the batteries (ordered from aliexpress) and my ezbook can keep alive for 6.5 hours at 40% brightness after a few full charge cycles.
Glad my guide helped you. My ezbook after two months from battery changes is still working like a charm
September 5, 2018 at 3:27 pm #146717This is the situation with new battery. Really happy with it. Now my Ezbook is perfect!

Which is the right to choose? I’m attaching a pic of the battery inside.
I bought the 3.7V one, even though I still don’t have my Ezbook 3 pro with me (It’s coming late september), just to be safe. Was wondering the same thing. Is there any difference between 3.7V and 3.8V? Would be nice to hear from Euplio about how his Ezbook 3 pro is doing with the new batteries.
Yes: 3.7 and 3.8V is the same. My ezbook is really great now. Battery life is really awesome after mounting new batteries, no problem so far
July 27, 2018 at 7:29 am #144831Going to get these ordered myself shortly. Seems relatively easy to install with a small amount of soldering. And will be worth it to have a fully portable EZ book again. @euplio thanks for your info and guide, did you order 2 pieces from that link? They say they are 2 pieces in the link but I assume they are 3300mah x2 so one 6600mah unit. Did you have to wire the batteries up together or just each pair of batteries to the pair of wires from the circuit board? <p style=”text-align: left;”></p>
Right! You have ti order 2x from the link
July 24, 2018 at 5:55 pm #144758what capacity the battery bar shows when full charged? @euplio step by step …. 7) Install new batteries in the frame and fix it with adhesive tape. 8) Solder the contact wires of new batteries to the controller and isolate the connections. 9) Install the battery in the laptop. Close the lid and put on charging.
Battery bar shows stock capacity cause the battery motherboard is programmed to say that battery capacity is 48000 mWh!
July 23, 2018 at 10:12 pm #144740So you need a soldering iron to do this job??
Yes
July 23, 2018 at 10:44 am #144733what would be the duration of the new battery? and all better? the quality is better? I also want to replace, my battery works without problems 4 hours max. I would like more time.
Battery duration is almost doubled than before!!! Really happy with new battery.
July 20, 2018 at 12:28 pm #144645Today I’ve decided to take out the battery of my 3 pro and to no surprise one of the batteries is completely flat (see photo). The notebook’s working without the battery. Advise for a compatible battery would be appreciated. Thanks
I bought 2 of these https://www.aliexpress.com/item/L552-3-7V-6000mAH-4212078-PLIB-Polymer-lithium-ion-Li-ion-battery-LG-cell-for/32531318879.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.72184c4dxm2CGP Size is right and capacity is better than oem
I think you might be the first person here to sucessfully do this. I think you need to make a detailed write-up about how you did it, what tools you used, the process etc. Please.
Maybe you’re right! So:
First of all you have to disconnect the original battery and dismantle it: I cutted the wires from the battery on the right (red circles in photo) and cutted the connector on the left battery (green circles) that keep it connected to the circuit! So that you now have the circuit and the plastic case without batteries. I bought 2x of this batteries https://www.aliexpress.com/item/L552-3-7V-6000mAH-4212078-PLIB-Polymer-lithium-ion-Li-ion-battery-LG-cell-for/32531318879.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.72184c4dxm2CGP from Aliexpress. They are perfect cause they perfectly fit the original plastic case, they are bigger in mAh and have Japan cells (best one). They in practice last longer than stock battery and they should be better overall quality. Stock batteries were duboius quality.
Now that you have batteries from Aliexpress you should connect wires from new battery with ones you have cutted (red circles ones) I used electrical tape so first battery is ok. Now you have to connect second battery. What I did is solder wires from battery to connector on the circuit board (green circles) .
Now your battery is ready! Final result is in third photo ( white circles indicates were I connected wires)
