I was just about to ask if there was a tempered glass screen protector available for the i9- really good to see that cube are supplying them.
Can someone report back on the quality of it in the future?
April 20, 2016 at 8:37 pm #34510I’m not really familiar with m.2 modules and the different types but would something like this be appropriate?

April 20, 2016 at 2:46 pm #34435Thanks for the info
April 20, 2016 at 2:22 pm #34427I know this isn’t directly to do with this topic, but is there a status led that turns on when the tablet is charging? If so, does it light when charging though usb c? (Obviously it would when charging though the dc jack)
April 19, 2016 at 9:22 pm #34340I don’t want to start a new thread so I’l ask here:
Can someone tell me if the i9 has a hall sensor? so that when it is closed up against the keyboard cover it sleeps and when opened up again it turns back on.
I’m asking because I don’t think it was mentioned in the review.April 4, 2016 at 9:44 pm #32022That’s great to hear Chris! I bet you feel so relieved about not having a brick now 😉
These manufactures really owe you, as I bet they have had a noticeable increase in sales due to your videos/reviews.
Really looking forward to seeing how the improved i9 compares to your SP4 M3.
March 31, 2016 at 5:49 pm #31521Is that still available? -If not, any other coupons available?
March 26, 2016 at 7:19 pm #30947I know its a long shot but, I hope Chris receives his unit and gives some opinions on the i9 before the sale ends.
March 18, 2016 at 11:55 pm #29991I think I will will hold off buying this for now, I will wait for the stylus version. What swung it for me in the end was that the keyboard doesn’t have physical left and right click buttons- looks like its gesture only 🙁
According to this video anyway – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YqW0O2xqGo
Also it doesn’t look like their ‘new model’ is planned to only have 4gb ram – comment on this vid:
However if the review goes well I might change my mind..
March 16, 2016 at 11:12 am #29610I think it is the official cube seller, yes.
I found another video of the i9 – maybe useful to anyone in Russia looking to get this tablet:
March 13, 2016 at 5:09 pm #29188Good to hear yours has finally left China Chris. I’m really considering holding off on this one and waiting for a possible i9 stylus with 8 gb ram.
However I feel like this $399 sale price will never come round again and it could be a mistake in not just getting the i9.
Do you think waiting for a possible updated i9 would be the better option? I’ve got around 2 weeks to make up my mind…
Hopefully your full review will be out before the sale ends
March 12, 2016 at 5:33 pm #29065Now that’s a price I’m willing to pay for this, the only thing against me buying this is the possibility of a ‘i9 stylus’. Don’t really care about the the stylus as I won’t really use it, its the possibilty of 8 gb ram. Hopefully cube announce something before that sale ends. Decisions, decisions….
I also saw a “i8” model being referred to in ads for a Stylus… Perhaps an update of the i7 Stylus with the newer chipset? (hmmm this makes me think about my recent i7 stylus purchase)
In the keyboard listing for the i9 a ‘i12’ model is referenced to, so I doubt the stylus version will be a refreshed i7 stylus. Anything can I can happen though I suppose.
Discussion at this thread- http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/cube-i12-a-new-model/

March 11, 2016 at 5:09 pm #28861I have also noticed this, if that keyboard fits both the i9 and the incoming ‘i12’ the new tablet must be around 12 inches. Hopefully it does use the screen from the hi12 and is actually the ‘cube i9 stylus’ version that a lot of people are waiting for. This is likely, because the code name for the i7 stylus was ”i8′ (from the geekbench 3 page anyway).
Hopefully this one will have 8 gigs of ram to compete with the teclast x3 pro.
If this turns out to be true, I’l find it very hard to chose between the i9 and the ‘i9 stylus’ because I’m not an artist and don’t really need a stylus- but hopefully it would be much cheaper (like the i7 stylus was compared to the original i7).
This is all speculation atm anyway so none of this is confirmed 😉
March 10, 2016 at 11:49 pm #28780Great news about the hub being able to charge the tablet after all!
Looking forward to some battery test results, hopefully it can last around 6 hours with medium brightness.
