You can try to download the full ISO and prepare the usb stick with a third party program like Rufus.

Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709 Download

(this is not a pirate site, it just hosts the legit Windows ISO files)

Did you create the usb disks in UEFI mode? AFAIK Cube i7 Book doesn’t support Legacy Boot.

BTW, I always disable “get important updates” while installing.

Thanks for the information, I’ll try it as soon as I have time. RemixOS was great in some ways, but it also had its flaws.

Cameras are still a problem for me even in Windows, it seems that the issue is present also in other brands utilizing the same chips.

Thank you, I’m planning to make a clean install using a usb stick with build 1709 ISO on it, after backing up my product keys and application settings with Belarc and Cloneapp.

There shouldn’t be many issues, maybe only the “we can’t find your camera” error thrown when the camera drivers are updated.

Do you have a Microsoft account? If so, have you connected to it on the tablet? Mine activated automatically when I connected to my account.

I had the same issue, no matter what I tried the installation was stuck at about 65%.

Downloading and installing Build 1607 instead of using the download tool did the trick for me. You can find the links to different versions on this site:

Because I couldn’t retrieve my key… I installed Windows 10 Education for which I have a legit key, but I had several problems with the new instalation (ie. cameras I got working before by reverting to old drivers, Steam downloads, Windows Store installations and low 3dmark scores). I will probably install a clean Win 10 Home  and try to activate it through my Windows account.

Does anybody know whether the image in the Downloads section for Mix Plus will work or not? Most of the hardware is the same, so drivers shall not pose a problem.

Remix OS is incredibly easy to install using the application distributed with the ISO. You even don’t need a seperate partition, just run the app from Windows. You’ll need a keyboard to switch to Android to switch to Android and back in th Grub menu though.

Most emulators are also easy to install. I thought I need a dual boot tablet before I got this one, now I very rarely turn on the emu for a few apps not available for Windows 10.

I uninstalled the Realtek drivers and now the card reader seems to work better with the Intel ones.

If you are willing to try a cheap Chinese charger, there’s this one:

I can say that Samsung Note styli with soft rupper tips are much more pleasant to use than these ones with hard tips.

    Correct stylus?

Do you think that placing another thermal pad on the battery will be beneficial for the battery life and the tablet heat problems, or will it increase the temperature of the casing too much that it will not absorb heat from the cpu?

In my case (pun intended) the power button causes the accidental wake-ups since the side of the case regularly touches the buttons. Isn’t bezel button capacitive? It may be more convenient to sleep/wake-up the tablet by a capacitive button, if it’s posible.
