🙂
Just ordered one.
Thanks for tip.May 2, 2016 at 11:17 am #35799Some comments:
- Yes, I will buy the “cheap crap” Chinese tablets again 🙂
- I have Surface Pro 3. iPad Air 2.
- I bought Teclast X98 . It was a very good tablet, considering the price.
- I sold it, just to buy Chuwi Hi12. It did not arrived, was replaced by GearBest with the same, but dual boot and with stylus support.
Got it after waiting a month. And again, Im very happy with it. - The main reason was a pdf magazine reading. Im reading a lot. Really a lot pdf files. So I was looking after something 12 ” .
- The modifications:
a) I always attach a “magnet style charger – USB micro end”. Like Mac Book has. Its a weakness of Chinese tablets, the micro USB port, and I noticed some “strange behavior” of a tablet, when I used just a micro USB charging cable.
I bought a tempered class protector for it. And thats all. Except, of weaker wifi reception, (there where the iPAD or Surface Pro working so so, there Chuwi gave up 🙂 ) it working fine, not a problem. Of course I did a complete reset and a new installations. - Mine arrived from GearBest, and was “not untouched”. I mean, there somebody played with it, did a language modification to Englisch language. So it was tested, and the chance of Dead on Arrival, or broken something, or not working something was minimalised.
- And already ordered a Teclast Kindow reading tablet too.
- Till now, Im very happy with all my Chinese tablets. For the price, there is nothing wrong, I can say about them.
May 2, 2016 at 4:26 am #35781I’m very satisfied. Getting 8-9 hours of mixed use (25% brightness) (web, Feedly, reading pdf, movie).
May 2, 2016 at 4:16 am #35780I got mine 3 day ago.
VERY satisfied.
One weakness I found, the wifi reception. Not as strong, as mineiPAD Air2 or Surface Pro 3.
Fantastic battery life (25% brightness, which looks small, but in real life sufficient) Im getting some 8-9 hours.
April 29, 2016 at 6:29 pm #35566Just got mine Chuwi Hi12 dual boot from GearBest.
But paid 21 % VAT and Eur 4 as handling fee. Customs was very carefull about contents.

August 25, 2015 at 10:19 am #10327Hi, Joeri
I was looking after tablet with Windows for quick – on site photo editing. I bought Teclast x98 air 3G 64GB.
Under WIN 8.1 Im editing picture. Without problem. With my favorite photo editor, and with Photoshop 6 too. Not a smallest problem. Yes, its a little bit slower, compared with my desktop PC, but not visibly smaller than a medium – low class notebook. And this tablet its lighter, smaller, cheaper. For navigation and work with pictures Im using “active stylus” which enable me to be more precise . (Point of the pen is 1,9 mm, so better than my finger, and you see the point of placement of the stylus)So what Im thikning about video editing? In lighter program, its possibel.
August 25, 2015 at 9:30 am #10323I’m using 128 GB SanDisk. Dor both WIN and Android. No problem, working fine.
August 25, 2015 at 9:28 am #10322Where can I get a bin file to use with updateIFWI that will update an x98 Air3g with android only, no dual boot? I like the extra memory available for android without the windows partition. I want to update from Android 4.4.4 to Lolipop.
You need to flash a custom rom for that that partitions the whole device with Android. Download Mirek190 v4.2 rom and then using the installer bat select full partition Android only. The download is in the X98 Air downloads section of the site.
Im on the same ship, want to upgrade to MIREK190 v4.2. from Android stock. I have C5J6 version)
I downloaded the files, but:
Do I need to start the process from TABLET, from windows? (run number 1., then number 2, than the .bat file?
Or I have to connect the desktop PC with tablet and go to DTK (or what is its name) mode?
I saw several tutorials, and Im just not sure.
And before this, do I need to check the BIOS version to have 2.02?Thanks for answer

Is this answer, implying, that the applications will run faster too on WIN 8.1 ? 😉
August 12, 2015 at 6:43 am #9444Hello Jaqob
Good point
Of course, nothing special, just basic curves, tonality, crop, B/W conversion ,…..
For serious work I have a goooood PC at home
But often I need to present some work “on-site” and I need to make basic editing
And I need to show the pictures to customers
I do all this type of work with ZONER program ( local Czech company http://www.zoner.cz)
And for this type of job I was thinking that this type of tablet is just fine
But I’m not sure, so asking more experienced friends 🙂
August 12, 2015 at 3:42 am #9438Thanks Chris for your answer.
But
My point is: not to concentrate to stylus as is with CUBE i7 stylus tablet, but to use other stylus (ADONIT or APEX).
Then I do not need to be fixed to CUBE i7 Stylus tablet, but I can choose other with WIN 8.1 (and android, if possible). And from this point of view, what is your recommendation?
Will be sufficient the CHUWI i10 (with 64GB?) from point of view of speed?
I like it a lot.
Thanks againLaco
August 11, 2015 at 2:25 pm #9360Answer to point 7 only.
I solved this with WIFI HDD enclosure, like this one:
