(it s ARM but it’s not very powerful because it’s quite an old design …)August 11, 2020 at 7:58 pm #183765Hey guys,
I will probably order Bmax Y11 soon as it seems to be a great and universal companion for travelling (not mentioning the value for money). I’m wondering, could you recommend me a good PD charger/adapter which is suitable to charge it and is as compact and light as possible? Don’t want to destroy all the advantages of a tiny machine with some huge and heavy brick.
Thanks,
Martin
the Baseus GAN 65W USB C Charger doesn’t seem to be too big : https://techtablets.com/forum/topic/any-recommended-accessories-for-bmax-y11/#post-183557
August 11, 2020 at 7:52 pm #183764@Dan Hi, just got a Y11 for my gf, it gets quite hot though on the right hand side, under the cpu I guess…is that normal? This has the 4120 cheapest.
same here, I agree it gets a little bit hot on the right hand side … maybe we could do some kind of mod so that the heat is better scattered under the whole laptop ?
July 31, 2020 at 8:09 am #183696I ve just ordered one I am looking for some kind of “corner” protections that could be glued (or “scotched”) to the corners, especially to protect the screen as I understand it’s made of (breakable) glass (and not less breakable plastic) (I’ve just had a bad experience with another laptop with a glass screen : my bag fell with it inside and the top right screen corner broke … I must say I also forgot to put it in its protective pouch inside my bag …)
PS : a solution might just be to cut the corners of a phone protective case to appropriate dimensions and glue/”scotch” them to the corners …I did that and also added an extra layer of car tyre inner tube :
not proud of the aethetics but hopefully it will help protect the (glass) screen if the bmax y11 falls …
PS :
there is an issue with the antispam on this forum : it believes I am a spammer and removed my post yesterday (I was trying to make modifications to it)oops adding my picture as an attachement as the embedding above didn t seem to work …

this time I will put the bmax y11 in its protective pouch and the protective pouch in an amazon enveloppe :
(I have taped some foam to the edges/corners of the enveloppe to protect the corners of the bmax y11 better …)
July 27, 2020 at 8:39 pm #183680about powerbanks it seems that my PD powerbanks work fine :
. zmi ambi 10000
. kuuala 20000mA QC PD 3.0 (cheap from AliExpress, interesting with its screen …)
this non PD PowerBank charges slower :
. RavPower RP-PB19 (only charging at about 4W according to BatteryBar whereas the others charge at about 11W while the Y11 is busy upgrading to Windows 10 2004)
July 27, 2020 at 6:39 pm #183678bmax y11 screen is slightly higher than the asus flip c100 screen (16/10 10 inch) and very slightly less high than the acer chrometab 10 (4/3 9.7 inch)
-> I wish they removed the big bezel at the bottom, it would look less “toyish” 😉 … they should make it 16/10 or maybe even 3/2 ! … anyway overall the bezels are not too thick and I already get used to it 🙂July 23, 2020 at 6:33 am #183664I ve just ordered one

July 21, 2020 at 11:31 pm #183656on aliexpress https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/4000674618825.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27426c37cInp8M I see this note for the Y11 accelerometer (automatic screen orientation) to work on ubuntu linux :
Contenant##################################### # BMAX Y11 ##################################### Capteur: modalias:acpi:KIOX010A *:dmi:bvnAmericanMegatrendsInc.:bvrNB13x.08.1905025:bd01/02/2020:svnAMI:pnIntel:* ACCEL_MOUNT_MATRIX = 0, 1, 0; 1, 0, 0; 0, 0, 1
La matrice corrige l’axe x et y qui sont échangés. Et maintenant l’écran a la bonne orientation et il suit l’orientation de votre ordinateur. A mon avis le Y11 est vraiment une bonne affaire.July 21, 2020 at 10:31 pm #183655I ve just ordered a BMAX Y11 from aliexpress … 276E with the N4120 from the ES warehouse …
(notebookcheck received the N4100 a few months ago from the Banggood ES warehouse and they reviewed it : https://www.notebookcheck.net/BMAX-MaxBook-Y11-H1M6-Convertible-Review.459251.0.html )May 17, 2020 at 1:06 pm #183106hey folks !
I am looking at the surface go 2 … I like it but it’s very expensive in France with its core m3 and only 128gb of ssd. there are smaller chinese 11″ tablets on banggood but it looks like they are all 16/9 and I don’t like this screen ratio …
did you folks find some more “squareish” “small” chinese tablets that could compete with surface go ???
thank you !
August 6, 2016 at 6:03 pm #45917For the weight I found the answer : it’s 1006gr : http://win-tab.net/readers_review/voyo_vbook_v1_readers_review_1604031/
(maybe I am going to buy an asus chromebook flip as it can run android apps now …)
