I hope they will also release a Mi Pad 3 mini tablet. A 7.9″ screen is more suitable for light activities like reading and web surfing while lying down on the sofa…

If you have a smart case, try removing it. If the screen is still dark, I  press the power button off and then on again. I haven’t found any solution yet

Does the X89 Kindow run the Touchme Gesture Studio Windows app properly? Xiaomi’s Mi Pad 2 doesn’t

Dual boot Mi Pad 2 would be nice if Xiaomi can offer 4gb RAM and a microSD card slot. Plus solve the random black screens and allow TouchMe Gesture Studio to work properly…

Mine is a different problem. It never turned on no matter how long I press the power with/without the volume buttons. It only came back to life when it apparently ran out of battery then I charged it up again. I still don’t know why it became unresponsive for a whole day…

Waking up after hibernation usually takes several seconds of pressing the power button.  Same issue on my old Dell Venue 8 Pro.

Sleep/hibernation after x minutes often doesn’t follow whatever I indicate in my power settings.

Random black screens still plaguing my Mi Pad 2 tablet. I found something in Event Viewer when it occurred yesterday and just a few minutes ago. Here’s a screen shot of it….

Thanks for the info. Downloaded the files for Cherry Trail. Still figuring out which specific file to install…

Have you tried using the Intel Driver Update Utility on the Mi Pad 2? It reported that a “customized computer manufacturer driver  is installed” on my Mi Pad 2. The utility is unable to update the driver, installing a generic Intel driver may cause technical issues.  This maybe the reason why TouchMe Gesture Studio won’t work on this tablet.

If I manually install Intel’s drivers and encounter problems, is it possible to load back Xiami’s drivers?

Just experimenting if it will  have even minimal performance boost in startup time and/or overall performance.

Basically anything (program or file) you can create a keyboard shortcut to can be assigned a touchscreen action with TouchMe Gesture Studio. It’s been my favorite Windows app ever since it came out. It works in Surface Pro 3, Dell Venue 8 & 11 Pro, Winbook TW802 & Cherry Mobile Alpha Play and Teclast X98. Too bad it doesn’t function in the Mi Pad 2 Windows tablet

I agree it could be an touch engine issue. Probably incompatible with the touch screen driver? I messaged the author several times already, no response yet.

I suggest others to try it on touch screen Windows computers. I customized the gestures so that I just use 3 finger swipe down to close apps, 5 finger pinch in instead of tapping the Start button, 5 finger swipe down to hibernate, 3 finger swipe left/right to switch dexktop windows, etc. Basically any keyboard combo shortcut can be assigned to a touch screen gesture.  Aside from MS Office, it’s the only paid app I have on my computers

My Mi Pad 2 doesn’t make a clicking sound whenever I type something on the touch screen keyboard. I’ve already toggled the switch in settings menu numerous times. Anybody also has this problem?

There are smart covers which can wake up and put to sleep the Mi Pad 2.  I’m not sure if iPad mini accessories fit the Mi Pad 2

Can’t use HDMI up to now. Probable because my USB-C multiport adapter is defective
