Hi – do I need to use the stated shortcut for image of win 10 in first post or can I use my own image & activation key?
May 6, 2016 at 1:19 pm #36268Hi … having reached the conclusion that android doesn’t work so well with win 10, I’ve decided to move to win 10 pro as per first post… before I charge into doing this – do I need a product code or activation key for win 10 pro? If so where would I get one? From Microsoft online store or something?
November 24, 2015 at 10:14 am #16531Maybe the Teclast x16 power (as opposed to the x16 pro…)???
November 19, 2015 at 11:19 pm #16151Update…. reply from teclast.es:
<span style=”font-size: small;”>”The PRO version was phased out and it appeared the new PLUS version.</span><span style=”font-size: small;”>Any PRO what you could find is old stock”</span>Hmm…pro version now no longer?November 19, 2015 at 4:23 pm #16118The only reason I was keeping an eye on that site is that they have been saying that they would be having a European international version of the x98pro… maybe I’ll drop them an email & find out….
November 19, 2015 at 12:23 pm #16107OK… just seen elsewhere on site refs to the x98 plus…. I should look more carefully before posting… oops! Anyway as I said originally looking at the Spain Teclast site … couldn’t find the x98 pro under products??
November 19, 2015 at 12:18 pm #16105It seems similar to the x98pro but with Z8300 instead of Z8500??? Oh yeah… no mention of Android, just Win10 home….
October 26, 2015 at 10:50 pm #14257I thought the air derivatives had the same heating issue? If you’re concerned about the issues with these units… maybe best to steer clear of the dual boot at the moment… I think it was Chris who thought they were more buggy compared to the windows 10 only unit???
October 26, 2015 at 10:42 pm #14255Mine works fine and has done since I got it…I avoid letting it get too low on power especially in windows as mentioned with shutting down issues in another thread…. it seems to work really well…
October 16, 2015 at 3:57 pm #13386Android Safe mode…
Entered by touching and holding the power off option from the shut down menu and a new window will pop up asking if you want to boot into safe mode…

At the time I remember being told to get from reputable source as fake ones exist? Hmm … maybe I should have read this thread before ordering!! 🙂
One thing I would say is that there seemed to be a bit of play with card when I inserted it (this was a generic 4GB card…)… initially it wasn’t recognised but I removed and reinserted more carefully and it seems to be working fine now…
EDIT: Now working OK…. had to format card as FAT32 using 3rd party software “Guiformat” …
October 13, 2015 at 12:25 pm #13166Thanks for that… yes have found it now…. have added it as a shortcut to start menu so it now shows up in tablet mode… bit annoying that the windows have question marks for prompts etc… managed to change the caption on the start menu to read “Boot to Android”, but the next pop up is full of question marks with the top message having Android wedged in the middle of a load of question marks and what I assume are YES and NO action buttons below only have a series of question marks… (by the way the left hand one seemed to boot to Android, so I assume that one is YES and the one on the right is NO as it cancels back out to the desktop/ tablet home page…). Anyone know how to change this or do I just put up with it? Realistically I don’t chop and change that much so it is a bit of a moot point… :-)… Now I’m trying to figure out how to root tablet in Android….
I assume I get all the question marks because its meant to be Chinese??
October 13, 2015 at 11:20 am #13160Hi – I’m a bit confused here… managed to get to Android safe mode on tablet with safe mode shown in bottom left of home screen… then tried to run extracted boot.bat file from c:\ of computer, but didn’t seem to get very far … cmd.exe screen said something about:
If ID above – 0/root… everything goes well.
If otherwise ctrl + c to cancel.
Press any key to continue.
then get adb not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. ?
Should these files be on the tablet before running from windows??
EDIT: Have now been able to get into FASTBOOT mode as well… which should the tablet be in?
