Nm! Chanced it and used the boot.IMG for the 3.0.1 and renamed the recovery so i could use the original scripts and 3,0.2 worked on my x32 chuwi hi8 pro! Flashed magisk and made a backup on the SD card! Going strong!

Link to the original (bootleg.IMG) and twrp 3.0.1-1 mod (boottwrp.IMG) boot.IMG files to flash with the intel recovery tool provided by chuwi and I’m sorry I forget the link for the boottwrp.IMG, its mentioned in where this source said to get root.
I can also post what boot.emmc.IMG twrp produces when you do a backup.
June 6, 2017 at 7:47 pm #67864Oh oh oh! I want I want! Got a 32bit and can’t find a way to flash SuperSU systemless.
July 3, 2016 at 5:48 pm #42560Oh! Noticed it falling off after letting it sleep a few times.
July 3, 2016 at 5:46 pm #42559Update : after leaving the sd card out for several days, I put it in after having it plugged in via usb with the wifi off and it mounted my 128gb and 64gb cards with no issues for about an hour :/ so I don’t think it’s hardware related, something software with the sdio card is acting up is my guess.
June 29, 2016 at 5:20 am #42271I got mine from gearbest, they offered me a few options, 45 day money back with return, return for repair, partial refund in gearbucks, or reduced price replacement. I was out of the 45day window and cuz shipping would be over 25 bucks, i chose to buy a replacement for bout half what i paid. Could have the same issues, could have new ones, we will see, they said it carries the same warranty.
June 29, 2016 at 12:48 am #42260I used the method here and it works great. Camera issues have been solved 🙂
June 29, 2016 at 12:43 am #42259Sweet! What did you do? Was it the usb cable?
June 29, 2016 at 12:39 am #42258My sd reader broke so i cant say, i know ntfs will work if rooted, but i believe paragon and the like can only read and mount it. Exfat is used on rooted androids for extra space, but not sure if this tablet will natively read it as an sd card… Sorry, im no help.
June 29, 2016 at 12:36 am #42257See DTP! Same issue as me! Nothing has worked, changed versions, bios android and win, now nothing in all of them (rooted TWRP recovery wont mount it either). Have not opened her again to look for hardware issues, i did once and found nothing, its like the sd reader burned out. Talked to gearbest about a replacement.
June 26, 2016 at 8:11 pm #42036Im not familiar with foldermount, but “move to sd” has all but been removed from android 5.1, but with root and a properly partitioned sdcard you can download apps like “link to sd” im afraid its a lil work and some googling around
June 26, 2016 at 8:07 pm #42035You most likely have a bad tablet :/ Contact your seller and see what options the will offer you. I have a chuwi whos sd reader died, connecting the sd card via usb works for me untill this gets resolved.
June 19, 2016 at 3:55 pm #41476Any update on this? All i would suggest, if you comfortable doing it, would be to try to unplug the digitizer and plug it back it. Ifyou open up the chuwi hi8pro, it should be a large ribbon cable on the bottom, but if u didnt think up that answer or never have done it before, the chuwi may not be a forgiving peice of hardware to learn on, or, cuz its alrdy half baked, it maybe a great idea to use it as a Frankenstein tablet. Its alive! Its alive!!!
June 18, 2016 at 10:13 pm #41426Something to try, after disabling the wifi, i was able to access the sd card, but it would cut out and in if it went to sleep. Windows seemed to have an affect, device manager showed a different response, but i could not access sd card.
June 18, 2016 at 2:04 pm #41389Same issues here, in bios under south bridge then another tab there was a sd pci or ap-something that when switched would fix the card in win but then it would fail in android, now it fails in both even after a full android+win10+bios flash. Im gonna open her up again to look for any power shorts or loose pins.
