Only people I know that fix Chuwi Hi8 Pro in Europe are http://e-cdd.pl/
I can definitely recommend them, as they fixed my unit.
Beware, shipping will probably cost you more than the actual repair.
April 19, 2017 at 9:36 pm #65713I got this for my USB-C to USB and charging needs. Admittedly, I never tried booting off it. I can check if that works if you’re really in a pinch. But cheaper hubs also work as people in different threads here confirmed. At any rate, don’t trash it yet, fully charged battery should give you 2 hours of time to install Windows, right?
April 17, 2017 at 11:16 pm #65520It’s USB type C.
January 21, 2017 at 8:26 am #60755Disclaimer: I never said I have a dualboot device, just that my singleboot tablet is running a dualboot bios – there is no Android on my Hi8 Pro. Title could be misleading.
January 17, 2017 at 8:05 am #60550As I said before, Aukey CB-C23 is a perfect fit for my Hi8 Pro. And it looks good too.
December 30, 2016 at 10:05 pm #59543I had power on problems with single OS Hi8 Pro. Was doing all sorts of button pressing voodoo to get it on.
Then I gave up and had pros fix it. They got dual OS BIOS on it. Lost bluetooth functionality (no driver for the older bluetooth module), but power issues are gone forever (hopefully).
December 15, 2016 at 12:01 pm #58725No, I like I said, I gave it to a pro to do it.
December 14, 2016 at 9:03 pm #58653My tablet is in the same batch as yours. You can find Chuwi recommended BIOS for (y)our serial number here:

Personally, I had a pro put May BIOS for Dual OS Hi8 Pro. Since I did that it works amazingly good – running Build 14393.447.
Unfortunately, I sacrificed bluetooth due to drivers issue. So my solution is not for everyone.
December 14, 2016 at 1:17 pm #58622Would be useful to know all numbers apart from the last four in order to determine BIOS version needed.
November 8, 2016 at 1:50 pm #56588I am not aware of any driver changes due to Anniversary Update. Can you clarify?
Also for which Hi8 Pro is it? There are several generations with different hardware. Only way to differentiate them is serial number.
Check these threads:
August 23, 2016 at 8:59 pm #47763I apologise, I wasn’t specific enough.
Do not use Windows 10 upgrade assistant (first link).
Use Media Creation Tool (second link).
Anniversary Update is rolling out in stages through Windows Update: e.g. my Surface picked it up only few days ago, while I’m still waiting for the update to roll out for HP Envy 8 Note. Maybe I’ll stop being patient and use Media Creation Tool as well, but I’d rather wait for it. (Same with Hi 8 Pro)
August 23, 2016 at 4:18 pm #47744Have you tried this approach for Anniversary Update?
July 14, 2016 at 4:03 pm #43500What’s the charging rate compared to original Chuwi charger?
July 8, 2016 at 5:23 pm #42932There’s gotta be something on Banggood, Gearbest, or Ali Express that does all this for like $5, tho. C’mon, we are resourceful. Let’s find it. We didn’t buy $90 computers just to spend $30 on a hub. At least something that charges at full speed with USB2.0 and type C?
Make such hub, sell it for 5$, I guarantee we will all buy it 🙂
July 7, 2016 at 7:07 pm #42844Sounds like it might explode any moment now.
