February 22, 2016 at 1:37 pm #26733Wow what a difference. Thank you for the version 2. I just saw this thread so I didnt try version 1 but still great fix. Most irritating thing was the latency of the keyboard. Now how to fix the android side of it.
Thank you again!
February 9, 2016 at 8:22 pm #25560Mine refuses to deep sleep, android chews up battery regardless. Mines Rooted, I have power and deep sleep programs on it that require root to no avail. The X16pro is a pig but man its smooth.
February 1, 2016 at 3:29 pm #24700Just follow the directions, it works exactly as advertised.
January 23, 2016 at 9:38 pm #23481runs pretty good, no better than the stock android OS thats on there. Its good looking, its pretty fast, but better I dont see it. I loaded it on a USB and booted to it. Again worked good, but for its purpose I went back to the original OS
January 23, 2016 at 6:04 pm #23467Ive had mine only a few days and cant agree more. Just use it a few days before you start trying to improve on it. All Ive done is root the android side. I will not be doing much more than that. The biggest problem I had was the installed screen protector. Rip it off the screen becomes very sensitive.
Only issue I have is when bluetooth is connected and wifi are both running the speeds of both are compromised.
January 23, 2016 at 5:49 pm #23464to root it? I used the method used in the general forum. Worked first time like a charm. I booted the tablet into android a few times first to make sure it didnt wipe the windows side. Im not sure it would have but Im a bit of a stickler. It worked 100% without any hiccups at all. When it restarts you will the Superuser icon, click on that and it will ask to update binaries and has 2 options. I choose the the normal not advanced. Gave me root rights without any guff. This was on day 2 of me owning the tablet.
Heres the link http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/root-teclast-x16/#post-19357 <— that post I followed to the letter, worked first time without errors. You install the driver on the laptop/desktop not the tablet. The instructions of installing the driver and running the .exe are on a windows based PC. The only thing you do to the tablet is debug mode, the restart and plug in the usb.
For the ps3/ps4 controller I bought the app sixaxis and it does the rest. This lest me use my controllers on bluetooth, with no lag, remap able control’s, but you must have root access. I can use it as a pointer/mouse as well to cycle through apps and pages on the android side.

January 22, 2016 at 5:38 pm #23372This worked amazingly too easily.
January 22, 2016 at 5:37 pm #23371Well no matter the solution, I decided to just root it. Ive only have the tablet 1 day and already rooted. Used the Sixaxis app and it works like a charm now.
Used the root method in this forum, worked like a charm not a single hiccup.
January 9, 2016 at 12:15 am #21610I’m going to install Windows home when it gets here. Do I have to do it the way you mentioned or can I do it from Windows and use a newer US version. Also I keep reading a lot of info on the touch driver on how to setup on the fresh install. Other than placing the driver in the directory there’s another step to enable, can you confirm this?
January 6, 2016 at 1:31 pm #21385Can anyone confirm if this is capable at 3.0 speeds or is the header only a 2.0 slot? If I understand correctly the micro usb does run at 3.0 speeds, will the added port do the same.
